Don't forget about Hall's 2:06 in London & 59 1/2 in Houston. Hardly a farce. I doubt Rupp will run 2:06 tomorrow wind aided and downhill.

It's simple. It's called the American record i.e. the fastest time by an American Citizen. No asterisk needed for KK as he met the criteria. Start a new record book if you can't handle that and call it the WR, white record.

Actually I did watch it. Rupp was so tired there that the only thing he was able to kick was the bucket. He dragged himself to the line in 2:10. Kinda hard to win Boston with a time like that

I was discussing whether or not KK's AR (non point-to-point, non-downhill course) merits an asterisk. That is not the original topic of this post, but its where the discussion went. On Monday Galen will be chasing Hall's Boston course record, but without record breaking tailwinds he is not likely to get it.

The American Record is owned by KK. The Boston course American Record is owned by Hall.

Galen is NOT winning Boston tomorrow, no way. Have you guys actually looked at the field? In Rio, everything went perfectly for Galen and many other notables had bad days. He's for real, but I'll eat crow on Monday if he wins. Out kicking others at the end? Yeah, like in Rio, right? The marathon is NOT a 10,000, wake up people. The Africans can kick to and they've proven it in many, many races...do your research.
