AAU basketball players get far more gear from the big shoe companies from an early age over the table and in plain view, so this is nothing new and does not affect their eligibility at all. The money involved in youth basketball is stunning when you consider how little money goes into college track and xc.
You guys are overanalyzing things. Odds are, she just likes New Balance and she probably got some free stuff from races. Clearly, if she signed with Kentucky she's still eligible. She wears Nike socks, you want to tell me she has 2 sponsorship deals? New Balance just took a liking to the fact that the top high schooler is wearing their stuff and decided to reward her with inviting her to be on the DMR team. Building ties for the future.
Her brother has also been wearing new balance too. Even when Michigan gives him Nike shoes he chooses to wear new balance

Nice try, but an inside source at NB told me that they have been giving her tons of stuff for a while. It's not just some random coincidence.

If you google around, you can find uniforms from her high school that are under armor and brooks as well.
