LRC does not recognize Hall's 2:04 as the AR. However, his 2:06:17 is the ABR which is far more important than the so-called "AR". The temps look like they should be warm enough he won't have the mask on. In the half, the temps could be up to 65° for Rupp with no effect because he has shown to be a better warm weather runner.

if it's 65 degrees it will certainly effect the race. no amount of heat training can stop the physiological impacts. even being a "good warm weather runner" only means he will be better prepared than the competition, which in this race will not exist.

Callum Hawkins of GB ran 60:x this year. He is a 2:10 marathoner and placed way behind Rupp in the Olympic marathon.

Rupp could break 60. Give him some credit.

The record is legit, it is about on par with KKs marathon USR. Can Rupp get the record, YES, will he get the record, NOT SURE. There are a number of factors which point to the record going down.
