I actually do care passionately about the state of American distance running. Jennings has run some incredible races, but he seems to drift in and out of the scene and seems distracted at times (the Mexican bike trip, etc.). Maybe that is what he wants...who are we to judge. It would be great if this talented runner could achieve all that he is capable of, which seems to be a lot more.
Yeah, all that high mileage really hurt Jim Ryun.
he did a lot of training on dirt tracks, dirt tracks fix your form ASAP...those old tracks made you drive your knees up and dig into the track
"the kenyans train on dirt tracks, so does EL G"

if he's happy and enjoying his running isnt that enough ?
See what I mean?
Your "argument" against high mileage is one of the worst arguments in favor/against anything that I've ever seen on this board, and that's saying something. So high mileage ruins your body mechanics... that's a great one, where'd you hear that? Then you concede that high mileage only hurts you if you don't know how to properly implement it. Well DUH. Then, finally, you say that dirt tracks fix your biomechanics... and, well, I just don't know what to say to that one.
i'm faster than you
and once i break the AR in the 800 people will start listening to me
I don't post on Gabe threads any more.
