In the history of NCAA track, has a team ever had 3 guys go sub-3:59 in same race until last week when Syracuse did?

Georgetown last year, at BU.

And Oklahoma. I wouldn't be shocked to learn about more teams doing. Arkansas had the runners to do it pretty much every year in the 90s. No clue if they did.

Interesting about Syracuse is the fact that they never had a sub 4 min guy until last year

They never had a sub 3:59 guy (ever) until that race

Now they have 3

In the same race

+ they had another guy run 7:54 on the same day.

it's faster. 4 @ sub-4 has been done many more times.

It helps when you get one of the best recruits out of North America in the last 10 years and have a 3:38 1,500m runner transfer in. Should have one hell of a DMR though

And now 3:59 is far off from NCAA champs time. How times have changed
