It does amaze me the Palace-Brighton rivalry even though they are in separate leagues now.

We're writing/talking football here, real football.
I've seen COYP quite a few times on Palace sites.

Hard for me to take a soccer team that plays on turf seriously. Although my cousin is a huge Portland Timbers fan (more like a Palace atmosphere) and they play on turf too.
Crystal Palace replaced the entire natural grass pitch in 2 weeks over Christmas in the middle of the winter this year.
So clearly putting in turf can't be that hard.
Although I was watching some old FA cup match highlights and couldn't believe the fields they played on back in the day.
I'm hoping Saturday will be a good day for us - Sturridge back from injury, A win against the Hammers and an announcement about signing Danny Ings!
Honest question from a Gooner: Is there any possible way to get excited about the Gabriel signing? They gave him number 5 so they must see something, but with the lack of exposure in Liga 2 I have no way to gauge my feelings. Just another question mark for a club that is a living question mark.

It reminds me of the Koscielny signing who was playing in ligue deux at the time and look how that turned out. And Villareal are in the top tier fwiw. We needed defensive cover and top center backs simply aren't available. Barcelona had to settle for Vermaelen and Mathieu over the summer. The scouts obviously saw something in Gabriel so I'm optimistic.

Bottom line I see is it at least gives Laurent and Per some competition and it won't force us to throw Calum to the dogs up the middle whenever we have multiple matches in a week.
