Need help scrutinizing today's WDW marathon results

The father and daughter ran 30 minutes and a few seconds (not 20 minutes) between 10 mile and 13.1 mile, just under a 10 minute per mile pace. They were running side by side for a fair amount according to MarathonFoto.

I've contacted

disneysports@trackshack.com

about this and they assured me they were taking this seriously. We will have to see whether they proceed with removing or disqualifying the times. Feel free to contact them yourself.

From the Marathonfoto pictures, it looks like they ran together the whole way until somewhere in Epcot (i.e. right before the finish). If you look at the father's pictures, you can see that the daughter exited Cinderella's castle right before the father -- I think this was about Mile 5 or 6 and one of the earliest photographers. Together the rest of the way until the 1:20 gap in the 'clock' time at the finish.

The 2015 Disney World Marathon has disqualified the times of the Atlanta father and daughter who cut the course, as well as the 51 year old Colorado male who cut the course. All received BQ times but missed the 20 mile mat -- resulting in impossible negative splits. They all now have no recorded finish time.

I am GLAD to see Disney and Trackshack taking results integrity seriously this year!

Thanks for your diligence. Nice work. I wish, however, races would do much of this work themselves - chip times get fed into a computer immediately and it would be trivial to have the recording program flag suspicious results like missed mats or anomalous splits.

I wish they would as well. Some races *do* diligently scan through results and weed out cheaters. Others put out minimal timing equipment and don't publish results with splits. Others have to be prodded to take action to scrutinize their results.

To each their own I guess...What is your end game? Embarrass people to the point that they may end their own lives? That's not very Christian. What is your end game, BV? Are you one of the pathetic losers who got caught trying to cheat your way to Hopkinton? If someone is so embarrassed by their own cheating that they would end it all, they have way bigger problems than the ones exposed by posters like Switek.

We can all play this game, BV. I bet you are a wanna be. You tell people what a great athlete you are and play up your "accomplishments", but in reality you are a chump who has to cheat, and/or lie to get attention.

1) Still haven't heard back from Switek. So I am correct that he/she/it is not a real runner, just someone with too much time.

I'm heading out for a run. I don't know how long or how far I will run. I do know that I will enjoy it, because I'm not worrying about other runners. Just me. Oh yeah, and try to smile at others runners when the pass by. It makes more human that way.

We've all forgiven the cheaters now that they've been caught out and kicked off the results.

This is totally fair.

Switek's done everyone who completed the whole marathon a good deed.

Plus, switek didn't directly name anyone involved.

I think you need to go run in some fog, get lost, scare yourself a bit back to reality, then get out your compass to get back because there's no god out there, just the indifferent, cold elements.

I suggest you don't bring this more attention than it already has. Coming on here to defend cheaters will only make things worse. Nothing wrong with getting caught, lessons were learned.
