You are not very smart, are you? Let me give you an example. In May this year I ran a road HM in 69 minutes. Two months later I ran a very tough trail HM in 86 minutes, and I was in roughly the same shape.

This aged like fine wine. A decade after this post, Zach Miller is still one of the best ultra trail runners in the world, after a year off due to surgery he returned to get 5th and 2nd at UTMB in the last two years.
Dude...you sound like you don't understand why you can't use a 100m to calculate a marathon time... This is gonna sound crazy but endurance sports are about... endurance.
She's an ultrarunner. That's about endurance, strategy and pain tolerance. It's about moving when your whole body hurts and is screaming to stop and then running for a whole 'nother day. Considering she does stuff like win the invite-only badwater that involves 8500 feet of climbing and temps from 30 to 130F AND has run Cocodona (250mi) and then run the Tahoe 200 (which has 36,857 ft each of ascent and descent) a few weeks later... I think its fair to call her an elite.
Don't get me wrong, she has a schtick: she's a runner who lifts. She sticks out in a crowd of 104 pound women. That and her excessively positive attitude are her marketability. (Trust me, as someone who runs ultras and crews them- who you are in your core comes out in how you treat your aid people at 75+miles.)
As far as that 10k: I run half marathons as training runs. It is less than my short-runs but good starting line/crowd training and hilly courses are good for intervals. ...Sometimes its just a cool shirt I want. Not every race is a time trial for everyone. Sometimes you're there to support someone else, as a recovery run or you're injured and said decided to show up anyway. Sometimes leg day ends up being the day before some piddly 5k/10k or half that I signed up for. Sometimes I do that on purpose for multiday race training. My 5k times are a joke, but I run them with my 8 year old niece. It doesn't mean my track day mile times are the same.

Zach is no where near best in the world. He got 2nd at utmb, a race where you must qualify, no prize money in past, and very expensive adventure. No Africans and not deep with elite talent from sub ultra world. Top athletes by far arent doing 100s. The most talented are competing where there is potential to earn income. Utmb is solely mid level athletes with sponsors. Most top hybrid athletes and africans dont have that support so they dont race ultras. When zach has raced events at World champs, usa national mountain Champs where there is no lottery, anyone can show up, and there is prize purse, he is not even close to the top. Stop with the lies. Nice guy but no World beater. Just looked up his worlds results for World Champ events and National usa events. He was getting blown out. Ultras dilute the field and keep a lot of talent out of the race

I do have to call you out: not among the best in the world yet he’s 2nd at UTMB. Also, go race his Conestoga 10M and see if you get within 15-min of his course record. Many 14:00 guys can’t. He’s great. Leave it at that. And I’ve beat many Africans on the road track and trail.
You clearly didn't read anything I wrote. I explained why utmb is weak and diluted. Never heard of Conestoga, but remind me, of the Top guys at those usa mt Champs races that zach was smoked in, how many of those top guys have went to this conestoga race? It's not an elite event so stop right there! No top guys go except locals is my guess
