I have gotten more positive looks from women young and old alike now that I am 6-1 and 195 than I ever did at 6-1 and 145.
This guy hit it on the head. I stopped running and gained 30 pounds in my mid 20s. Since I put on weight I've done a lot better with women and I'm still thin.

I am 6'6" 200 lbs and I am ripped. Dude, seriously, eat something for crying out loud.
though im not as skinny as many of my compatriots on this site(6' 155), I'm still pretty skinny.
However, i havnt had any trouble finding women. I think the problem lies internally. Dont blame your body types, guys! Be confident in yourself and the way you look. Girls will be attracted to self-condfidence way more than big muscles, and if they're not, then you're not looking for the right girls!!!
I will admit, though, that if your body type resembles a mo farah or our dear friend skeletor, then you might want to put on some lbs. Being that skinny can definitely hurt your game, regardless of your self confidence.
So I guess in other words, slim is good. skeletor, not good.

I believe you, but it isn't just important to find "any" woman, but quality ones.
Typically, the runners I know end up with skinny yet "boxy" girlfriends. No T&A, at all. They essentially look like little boys with long hair. Not a pretty sight.

If you find them attractive, who cares? Yall's obsession with how other people perceive you is pathetic: Gotta have a conventionally attractive girlfriend! Gotta have a new car every 3 years! Gotta wear the right brands! Gotta get the latest iPhone! Gotta be "ripped" (but never, ever do anything meaningful with your strength -- gotta have that prestigious office job!). When I look at people who actually accomplish something in their lives, the one constant is that they don't worry about what other people think.
Actually being on the other end of the scale like some of those huge ape like xfit guys it not great either. xfit is dumb and majority over emphasizes some body parts (like arms/shoulders) while neglecting others so I find most of them to have an apelike disproportionate posture.
Probably the best look is that of a sprinter, rower etc. power/speed with a bit of endurance and a sport to shape you.
You don't want too skinny or too big. exp if you are 6'0 being in the 170-195 range is probably pretty ideal.
And to answer other posters. yes of course confidence is key but confident guy looking like a mens fitness cover and confident guy looking like skinny ryan hall is a big difference.

I don't think being slim is the issue as much as height. I'm 6'2 165 and haven't had any issues. If you're shorter and slim then maybe you're in trouble.

This is what absolutely amazes me about obsessed hobby distance runners. They are not an Olympian and don't run for a living, but they'd rather do without a** than gain 5 or 10 pounds of muscle and possibly lose a few seconds per mile. That is profoundly strange. Is it any wonder distance runners are seen as weird?
Not really, considering most Americans would rather do without a** than eat 5-10 less donuts per day.
To some extent initially. Now depending on your personality this initial perception will either disappear and magnify.
Initial impressions of older people, ugly people, and fat people are worse than those of skinny people. Its no big deal.
