Centrowitz entered at club XC, Webb isnt as of 12/9

This year is also very unique for Club XC. It is the first year that USATF has announced it is the official selection race to make 1 of 2 USA XC squads. The top 10 athletes will have the opportunity to Represent USA at the BUPA XC meet or the CONCAF XC race. If an athlete turns down the spot, say Centrowitz, then the next athelte behind him will be offered the spot until ten athletes are selected! Makes for a good case to go and compete!

I'll be running it even though I'm in crap shape because it's in Oregon and the course is supposed to be (my idea of) fun.

Maybe an elite guy will DNF and I'll be able to say I beat him!

No - this was a selection race last year (for the BUPA and NACAC XC meets.)

Four teams from Boston will race, BAA, GBTC, NBBos, HFC. It is the place to be.

Being an off year for major championships we may get a good turnout for athletes running on teams.

Its a no brainer for all the oregon based teams/athletes , easy drive over to Bend , turnout should be good.

Centro will not run on team is he makes it , to lucrative to run a few indoor races.

Last year there were 222 open women and and 338 open men. I don't know about years before that. But this looks pretty big.

Who are the main contenders for the team title? OTC is not listed so I would guess Flagstaff, ZAP, and maybe Hanson's. Any I am missing?
