Eaton has shown to be VERY GOOD at various sport specific coordination and skills.

I honestly do not mean any offense by this but you sound like someone who was never really very good at sports other than T&F or similar one-dimensional activities.

As kids, until people have to dedicate their lives to a particular sport to make it professionally, the best basketball players are the best football players are the best baseball players... Lebron is a superb, even freakish, athlete. He would be GREAT at any sport.

Ashton Eaton, on the other hand, is freakishly talented in his own way but it is uncertain as to whether that would translate into outstanding success in "real" sports (football, basketball, soccer, baseball...). My suspicion is that, while he would be a heck of a lot better than your average Joe at these sports he probably could never have made it to the big leagues in any of them. Why do I think that? Because if he could have made it in the NBA/NFL/MLB then he would have literally 1000 times the fame that he currently has and 20 times the money. As such, he probably would have taken that path if it was open to him.

i never said klitchko was the greatest of all time, just saying ali should not even be in the discussion, look at the tape he lost to jimmy young, spinks beat him after a few pro fights, among other fights cheating to beat cooper etc. and ali lost to holmes and berbick, and ali was younger than quan manual marquez is now, so you cant say father time beat him.

ali got famous by running his mouth, some loved him, some hated him and watched hoping he would lose, but yes everyone was interested in watching him fight, he was very good as far as boxing ability, but i think norton beat him all 3 times, even though the judges gave 2 fights to ali, against holmes he lost every one of the 10 rounds, than refused to come out for the 11th, so no one can say he was as good as holmes, he was lackluster and lethargic in the berbick fight, he lost to spinks when spinks had only 6-7 fights afterwards spinks lost too pretty much everyone, but yes you are right he created tremendous interest and if that is your criteria your right ali is the most famous athlete if not person in the world, my criteria is his ability as a boxer.
