Emily Lipari Just Split 2:02.3 to Get Collegiate Record in 4X800 for Nova

Another (probably the same guy) Nova apologist. Nova sleeps in their own beds, drives over to the stadium to run. Oregon flies thousands of miles across the country, sleeping in noisy hotel rooms, while Nova has every advantage of a home crowd and a track they run on all the time. Still the Oregon girls (much better looking than the Nova girls) nail it in the race that they really wanted (the 4X400). Congratulations to the home-town girls who won the 4X800 (hope they do well with that one in the national championships).

Villanova will never have the overall type of track program as Oregon. That is not possible for them to achieve. What the program can do is win xc championships (I believe 9 or 10 now). Like Oregon, Nova can produce runners who are successful on a national and international level, and Villanova does it with far fewer resources.

However, to say they are a crappy team shows an immaturity and childishness not seen since the Porkies movies.

You give credit to Roesler for coming back and running a great leg on the 4x400. Obviously she deserves that, but somehow it hasn't occurred to you that 3 of the Nova women were running their third race. If you and other Oregon fans saw Lipari's stretch run and can only make some snarky and belittling remarks, you only prove you know nothing about track.

Real track fans would understand and acknowledge the effort of those women today.

Can't wait to see what Villanova can do in the 4 by 800 at the NCAA's lol oh wait who cares their isn't a 4 by 800 at the NCAA's i wish thier was Oregon would dominate it on the mens and womens side just like they would on the 4 by 1,500 or mile. Nice to see the Oregon ladies run the best 4 by 400 time in college this year so far.

Events Oregon will most likely win at the NCAA 100 Garnder,400 Francis, 800 Roesler, 10 k Hasay and 4 by 400 that's 50 points most likely about 35 more then Villanova will score at the NCAA's not to mention Friday,Prandini,Kesselring,Leblanc and others could also score alot of points for Oregon plus the 4 by 1 for the Ducks. I also see the Oregon men winning about 4-5 events with Berry 400 Greer 800 Fleet 1,500 Stinson 10 K and maybe Crouser in the Jav. So as of Now the Oregon women will win the triple crown and the men about 2nd to 4th Go Ducks and huck the Fuskies

Lipari may just have blown it by taking down Roesler today. She should have waited for a big meat like the NCAA's before beating Roesler. I have never seen a fighter like Roesler, and that includes Lipari. Roesler never gets beat twice by the same girl and that is why I say Lipari blew it today. And, big deal about all the homies gushing about Lipari's third race of the weekend...guess who just ran an amazing third weekend race on Oregon's winning 4 X 400 team?

Any bets out there on who is going to be peaking at nationals, and who will be over-raced by then?

Lipari has yet to qualify for NCAAs outdoors. In the past she hasn't had great success running a prelim and a final though she's gotten better with it this year. Her non-relay runs at NCAAs indoors have been below potential as well. I'd love to see her finally have a good solo performance at NCAAs though she seems thrilled with the team successes.

Dang all u Oregon fans are so butt hurt. You guys just can't believe that Oregon got beat by Villanova when Oregon should have easily won that 4x800 but because they didn't you're down playing the event and just blabbing on about the 4x400. Had Oregon won u guys would be jumping for joy about oregons new collegiate record in the 4x800.....but an 800 meter specialist gets out ran in the final stretch by a girl who has no business running 2:02. It was a GREAT and EPIC performance by the Villanova women and just cause you Oregon fans want to down play it doesn't change the fact that it was amazing and that Villanova are the new 4x800 record holders. Just give respect where respect is due instead of looking like a bunch of jealous fools.

Ok, conceded that some Villanova girl who should not have been in the race, ran out of her head to surprise the Oregon girl. I'm sure that you would find a lot of people who would like to see you shut up...in other words, we all know that Oregon would win this race 9 out of 10 times. We also all know that Oregon has to be very happy with the wheels that they won, the way they raced this weekend, and that they can't wait to race Nova next time. Guaranteed the result will be different. Nova fans are so anal.

Isn't Lipari mostly a middle-distance runner?

You mean after the best runner on Oregon's relay graduates?

With the resources they have at their disposal, there is no excuse why Oregon doesn't win every year in indoor, outdoor, and cross country.

They probably will win every title for awhile. Look at all the recruits that they are bringing in and that their relay team includes a freshman (Leblanc) a junior (Roesler), and a sophomore (Francis).

Leblanc is a 21 year old freshman.

Nova's 4x800 consists of two juniors and two freshman....no they're not Oregon in terms of powerhouses but they're damn well up there and they're a young team.

All of the girls on the Villanova relay are under 21.

Have those Nova girls reached puberty yet? I heard they were young, very young....maybe averaging 15 years of age.

How many of them will still be competitive when they are 22?
