I'm still here! Never lost power, yet! Just opened my door and took a few pics. There looks to be at least 2 feet where I am. Although with all the drifting it's hard to tell. You can hardly tell if my car is in the driveway. Going out to play for awhile. This will take hours just to shovel out to the street.

Correct. Biggest storm in Boston ever 2003. Most in 24 hours, 2005. Most in one month 2011. Most in a winter 1995-1996. The 70's were nothing really overall and people always remember the blizzard of 78 and extrapolate it to the whole decade.
You should be able to train throughout this storm. Think like eye of a tiger. You must work hard. How do you think I became a 2:13 marathoner, a model, and a third degree black belt and now have Tom Cruise hiring me??? If you work hard like me, maybe you too can get it.

My driveway has 36 inches of snow. I shoveled off some of it and left a vertical wall so I could measure it.
At the side of my house, the drifts are deeper, some as much as five feet high I'm estimating.
Glad I got my bread and milk.

In the 70's they measured the snowfall totals after the snow finished falling and now they measure the snowfall total every hour and add it up to get the total. Since there is no compacting now, the totals are always higher than they used to be. '78 was 27.1 after all was said and done and compacted and '03 was 27.6 using the new method- so '78 is still the winner.
