This is all hilarious.
There is no way Rudisha could break 12 seconds from blocks!
Seriously though, I would give him maybe 11.6...maybe.

I'm amazed folks aren't guessing a faster 1500m. And I'd think he has to go under 45 in the 400m. Kipketer was a 44sec 400m guy, no? 200m I don't know. But the 100m, I'd expect 10.5 or 10.6 range.
Anything longer than 1500m is silly. He might be able to run 13min/5k, or 14:30. We have no idea.
100m - 10.5/6
200m - ? maybe 21-ish
400m - under 45
800m - under 1:41 .. whether he does that in the OG depends. I'm thinking he will. Basically, he'll run whatever he wants to. :)
1500m - around 3:30, maybe just under.
3k/marathon - he'll be so laden down with gold medals by then he'll be DNS.
Ryan Martin runs a 10.6 for the 100m in his workouts. Surely Rudisha can run faster than that?

Seriously though, I would give him maybe 11.6......Since I still believe I can beat him in the 100m since i'm the mighty Sprint Geezer but am not in the reality of the situation at all and would be owned by such athlete.
fixed it for you

I think you mean 7:55.
13:25 is a far stretch, but possibly his ceiling.
2:11, never in his dreams.
Your a moron. 45.5 in sydney australia. 1:43 a week later. This is fact. That is a differential 6sec per lap. Right in line with 4/8 specialists. He ran the world record of 1:41.01 thay year. Logically therefore we can easily establish that he was running 44.5. Dumba$$....
If he runs 10.5 he clocks 20.4 or less and runs 43.8. So definately closer to 10.8. Remember MJ only ran 10.05. And he has to break 45 and thats a fact. Your endurance doesnt improve from early season to peak, the times drop from improved speed/speed endurance.
I have gone under 12 this season a bunch of times, and will go mid-11's again soon, as my achilles has gotten to the point where I can almost go full-out.
Of course I would get owned by Rudisha at 200m and up.
You guys are absolutely hilarious. You have absolutely no idea what it takes to run a 10.8, not to mention a 10.5 or a 10.4
I do know. There is absolutely no way that Rudisha could do it, and yes, I would bet my life on it.
You just don't get it, and there is no way I can convince you, as I tried to do on another thread. It's just like you guys thinking that 100m guys can run a mile in 5 minutes, or even 6 minutes, or even 7 minutes.
I respect your distance knowledge, but about sprinting, you have no clue whatsoever.
Wow I didnt even see this... I ran 11.5 at the age of 16 elec out of blocks training for an 800 and I wasnt near the fastest of the 800 boys my age. Not to mention the fact Rudisha has already run 45.5 in his preseason. Correct me if im wrong but 45.5 is just under 11.4 4x in a row. I wasnt aware of human beings capable of sprinting 400m all out let alone over half a second faster than their 100m capabilities... Marcin lewandowski has run 10.6 elec btw check iaaf bios. And he has been an 800m runner since juniors
Ill put it to you another way. Can you break 45 without breaking 11sec. Rudisha is a sub 45sec runner. And be careful with your answer because im sure you dont feel your more knowledgable in the sprints than john smith and charlie francis... Btw you wont break 46 without breaking 11
100 - 10.7
200 - 20.9
400 - 45.5
800 - 1:41.0
1500 - 3:30.00
3000 - 8:55
5000 - 14:15
10000 - 30:15
marathon - 2:42

I hadn't seen ^this^
Craziness. The guy has a pb that we know of at 45.5 and you think he couldn't break 12 sec for a 100m from blocks? You seriously think he's running 800m an avge of 1sec/his fastest 100m speed
13sec x 8 = 1:40.
I remember hearing Geb ran an 11sec 100m. And Rudisha would smoke Geb over 100m.
MJ ran 10.05 100m, and his 400m time was AT BEST 2 seconds faster than Rudisha's. Even a flat conversion comes out at 10.5 for Rudisha.
He'd definitely go under 11, imo.

I hope you are trolling.... There are hundreds of JV kids in highschool that run sub 12 every year and you are saying that he can barely do that? Again I hope that you are trolling.

These middle school boys and girls comparisons are dumb. Just because a middle schooler can run 11.xx for 100m, does that mean that an adult like Jordan Hasay should be able to?
I would hope that a middle school 100m specialist would be able to beat a mid distance runner at 100m. Just like a middle schooler/jv would beat Usain Bolt in a mile or a 5k.
13by8 is 1:44, but your point is 100% correct. I think the guy is just abit thick...
I'm just trying to point out how ridiculaus his prediction is... Do you really think a 45.5 second 400 guy cant run under 11.6 seconds in a 100? I guess common sense is not common these days.

Nobody knows how hard it is to run 1:41.01* I doubt Rudisha even knew where he was the first 5 seconds of that run.
I think he is referring to actual highschool md runners. Basically every 800m runner at state u16 broke 12. When I was 16 I clocked 11.79, 23.1 elec 1 week out from running 49.70 and 1.54.93 at state.
I remember lachlan renshaw running 11.3 electric when he was about 15 and he has been an 800m runner as long as hes been running

45.5 and 43.18 are worlds apart, there were a few guys running a 45/44 behind Johnson during that world record run and a few guys running behind Merritt and Wariner during their 43.xx runs, 2 seconds is a HUGE gap in the 400.
