Things people brag about that are unique to Letsrun.

Bragging about all the stuff they DONT do all in the name of running:

"I don't drink."

"I don't eat red meat."

"I don't eat any refined sugar."

"I haven't had fast food in 4 years."

"I haven't had a soft drink in 6 years!"

"I go to bed every night at 830 so I can get up at 430am to get in my morning 10 miler."

You forgot:

"I`ve never gotten laid."

Their ability to pinpoint their fitness level without racing. "I'd say I'm in 4:53 mile shape right now"

People you know come to letsrun regularly saying they don't check letsrun. People do this with Facebook too.

Also, how much they can bench press despite weighing 120 lbs.

I was inured for a month and got into lifting, At the end of the month I was able to bench 245. Is this any good? BTW I'm 5'9 120.

How fast some little kid that they have some relation to just ran. "My 9-year-old daughter just ran 16:45 for the 5k in trainers. Is this good?"

That is me!! but im 185, and it was to finish up a half Ironman, which you all should know is by far the easiest sport alive.

Another thing LRCers love to brag about! how much better their sport is than triathlon.

If you ever asked a football or basketball player if they thought their sport was better than Tri they would probably just say - WTF? Are you being serious?

The LRC fan will say ABSOLUTELY and give you 50 reasons why.

In fact you could throw cycling and swimming by themselves in there, too.

I heard about a guy who ran 30:00 for the 10k backwards, while giving a lecture on rocket science and doing his taxes in Chinese. That's worth at least 29:00.

would you believe the next day a cold front came through and the wind chill was -15 plus it snowed. I shoveled lane 8 and tried the 10k backwards with just some shorts and flats. Ran 29:30. You think that is worth 26:10 in lane 1 going forwards?

Also if it matters I took a 26 second break at 5k to solve a Rubik's cube, take a shit and shoot a bear.
