The mistake was running NYC in the first place after coming off of an injury. It will be interesting to see what happens from here. Ritz's inability to train properly for the marathon may force him down to the 10,000.

You cite three third place finishes? I'm pretty sure none of those are "winners". So, those credentials actually PROVE he IS a loser.

However, I like Ritz, wish him the best. He is one of the most amazing losers we have in the US.

He should've joined Schumacher's group. Actually, he should make the switch now.

Why is this guy always injured? He must be extremely fragile with a great lack of strength. I have never seen him in person but Ritz seems to get injured every time he walks out the door. Somebody at Nike please give Vern Gambetta a call and make this guy more durable.

Why does anyone care about this? It's really only the business of Ritz and Salazar. Too many people on this site living through the fortunes (or misfortunes) of others.

Ritz is such a pussy. Just give it up already. There's no room for whiners and complainers in this sport. He's just taking press away from other, better, healthier runners whenever he pulls out of a race every other week.

He's got it made though. I wish I could make a good living off of just training and getting paid, and then when it comes time to race, just making an injury excuse. Easiest job in the world.

Have you ever been to the Central Michigan track? It's not that shitty.

Pulling out of London was a great idea. When he said he was running it, everyone complained and ripped him apart for running a marathon so soon, now he pulls out and everyone is making fun of him for not racing because he's always injured.

This was a smart decision and it will hopefully lead to an excellent summer track season while getting ready for a fall marathon.

Completely agree. I'm glad that he can now focus on track this year. Exciting to see what he can do.
