Unless I am mistaken, Greer was an NCAA outdoor 800 finalist last Spring, and he ran a 1.46.9. So, yes he is one of the best collegiate 800 meter runners in the country this year.
Two Canadian high school runners ran 1:52.89 and 1:54.17 in that meet.
Actually the winner of the men's fast heat was a Canadian high school runner.
The winner for the men's fast heat 800 may have been a high school runner. Elijah was the winner for the men's 600 by several seconds.
