Did he get in by lottery?
He has one bad race and drops out of another because he knew he wasnt ready..how does that make him"finished"? Ryan Hall would never talk crap about anyone! Hes a great competitor and someone who loves his sport and just wants to run as fast as he can and give all the glory to God, if you cant respect that..than im sorry you suck.

has the course changed from when he broke the record there in 2007? Have they tweaked it for the trials?
The local organizers have created a new course for the HM championships, which are to be contested on the Saturday before the regular HM. The stated intent is to use this event is a shake-down for the marathon trials next year.

Yea, that RnR race in September was full of B-level Kenyans that stomped all over the golden boy.
Oh yeah, I wasn't talking about the RnR Arizona half that was set up as a cake walk for Hall last year, but for Simon Bairu showing up. I was obviously talking about Hall skipping Houston in favor of a race that is months away.
Hall deserves some credit. If he ran in Houston like he did at RnR Arizona last year, he wouldn't even finish in the top 10. And he is surely passing over some big appearance bucks from RnR to come to Houston and race. He is doing exactly what people on letsrun have been wanting him to do--get out and race.
And if being the fastest US born marathoner of all time doesn't make you a golden boy, then what does?
Enough chatter. I say 60:55 to win by about 40 seconds.
