I think most people here are over 40 or under 25. Anyone else probably has a life of some sort.
tiskpak is right around 3900-yr-old. Still setting PR's here and there, too. Granted, I did not any racing as a youth. Growing up in Sumer, it would have been too hot anyway.

Besides being over 50, I work from home, a time of otherwise social isolation, unless I go out. This board is the chance to read and perhaps join in discussion on a myriad of topics, at any time of the day a break makes sense.
Hope your health is better.

Haha, I think you nailed it! I wasn't involved from 25 - 40 myself. I ran in HS and college. Now at 44 I'm a parent/coach of competitive kids.
53, relatively speaking.

Well sure. But how many of us have kicked off since that last count?

Hey, I'm so old, malmo and hodgie seem young to me. Orville A.
and Ed Whitlock are definetely older than me. Avocado and Nobby have to be up there in years, but young to me, still. BTW, all these guys are some of the best contributors to LR, so that might tell ya something!! You can learn something from those who have "been around the block a few times"!

I don't think so. 18-49 makes up 69% of LRC visitors:

Another OF here. Good thing that old farts generally smell okay...
For years (as an athlete and coach) I was "the kid." Now I'm the oldest person in my workplace, and the only exercise I get is pushing 60.
50 in eight months.
Discussions about Zola Budd, The Godfather, Post nuptual shutoff are pretty popular. Does that give you any indication?
I did 5k in 16:13 recently - am 50 - your speed goes about at the age of 45 - I used to be able to run that just picking up the pace for few miles. Yes, it sucks, but I am proud of that time.

I'll have you know that I had no life between the ages of 25 and 40 either.

In fact, 58% of the visitors to letsrun are over 35, which explains some of the Zola Budd kind of thing and the Lydiard cultism. Similar to what you will find in Running USA statistics for marathons: The median age for males is 40.

Very possible that the majority of that 69% could be between the ages of 18-24 and 41-49.
If you look at the roadrace results, that 25-35 age is often under represented.
