M.C. Confusing....
What else would you call these people other than wackos..or crazies????
I'm just curious...You seem to be defending them which is very scary even though you claim not to.
They have exactly ZERO evidence to back up their claims...and they have plenty of evidence that says he was born in America...EVIDENCE FROM THE OPPOSITION FOR THAT MATTER.
AND...even if he wasn't born in America he would still be a US citizen because of his mother....
once again what else would you call these people....who no matter what evidence is presented to them they still cling to their crazy ideas that Obama is not an American and is out to destroy everything good about America.
If you are a history major then you would realize that this kind of craziness has been going on for a long time...in Kennedy's time it was fear of a Catholics...in Obama's time its fear of a black man...
These people are wackos and crazies who can't accept a world that is different from when they were young.
Don't defend them....call them out for what they really out...crazy people who have no evidence to back up their claim....If they have good evidence present it...if not please don't defend them...
Why would you allow someone to talk such craziness about your president whether you agree with him or not.

Not that I support the Birthers, but simple citizenship isn't the qualification for becoming president.
Whether Obama was or was not technically born in the territorial United States is of little significance. Even if it was proven in a court of law that he was not born in Hawaii, it would not impact his presidency. According to the rule of law, he was born in the United States and that is all that matters. He could have been born on Mars, but all that matters is that the state of Hawaii recognized his birth and he is de facto and de jure eligible to be sworn in as president for that reason alone and the state of Hawaii has no constitutional authority to reverse that.

Oh my lord....no one is saying that....
People are claiming he is not an American citizen from birth...
which is an out and out lie....his mother was an American so therefore he is no matter where he was born. Even though he was born in Hawaii which means he is American even if neither of his parents were American citizens.
He was born an American and thus according to the Constitution is eligible to run for President.
He meets every qualification that is required by the Constitution to run for president. If there is evidence other wise then please please present it....
Once again if you do not believe this then you are crazy and you obviously have no knowledge of the Constitution and what the requirements are to become president.
I'm not calling people names...i am stating the obvious. When all evidence points in one directions and some individuals still will not admit the truth then by detention they are on the crazy side.
We can go on like this for hours in the end the evidence backs up the fact that Obama is a native born American citizen and has every right according to the constitution to become president. Even the opposition admits this. Only a few crazy say otherwise…
I am still waiting on their proof to the contrary.

The Right to Privacy is a fine argument. The "these people are all wackos and it doesnt matter what you tell them" argument? Not so much.
Actually, the "wackos" point isn't a separate argument, it is a justification for the right to privacy.
Again, prove it to partisan elected officials. This is the best argument you listed though. No question. One of the reasons I myself am not a birther.
No, none of the presidential candidates is required by law to prove their eligibility, whether to elected or unelected officials. I'm definitely not a Birther, but it is important to be absolutely clear here, there is no legal requirement for a Presidential candidate to demonstrate his/her eligibility - I'm sure they DO, at least to the satisfaction of their party, but it's not a requirement.
Oh my lord....no one is saying that....
Honestly, I think you may want to check your facts before responding, and, if you want to brag on the superiority of your knowledge of the Constitution, the qualification is "natural born" not "native born".
I am still waiting on their proof to the contrary.
In this aspect I do support the Birthers: Obama made an argument "I am qualified to be President" which carries an implicit premise "I am a natural-born citizen of the USA". The Birthers are saying "we don't believe in the truth of your premise, therefore your conclusion is false". It is a valid objection, and thus it is not their responsibility to provide proof.
Why not show his passport?
Why not show his birth certificate?
Why not show his college application?
Why have all of these records sealed? Why spend so much money keeping records hidden?
For 99.999% these kind of things are "public record".
All of the critics could quickly be silenced with a few documents.
His passport probably said that he was Indonesian. On his college app, it likely says he is/was Indonesian and Islam as his religion. Barry Soetoro known as "Barack Obama" spent time in Indonesia and went to an Indonesian middle school.
I agree.

Why didn't Bush??? He only showed his transcripts from college...
Where was his birth certificate???
Where was his college application???
Where was his passport???
He is obviously hiding something right?????
The truth must come out right???
Please...This is a double standard more than likely based off of racism.
All the critics WOULD NOT be silenced if he gave in and showed them everything they wanted. They would then feel empowered and want more personal information that has nothing to do with being President. They would keep demanding and keep excusing no matter what truths were presented to them. Obama knows this and ignores them like crazy people should be ignored.
The republican opposition would love to find something on Obama. If there was any credible evidence they would be all over it because it would destroy the Democratic Party for years. But there is no credible evidence out there.
I repeat:

Bush didn't present his papers because there was never any doubt about where he was born. With Oldbama, there is doubt. That's a key difference.

Sane people have NO doubt. How much effort should anyone go through to satisfy the "doubt" of the insane?
The fact is we know less about President Obama than perhaps any other president in American history and much of this is due to actual efforts to hide his record.
A nation-wide network of researchers has sprung up to attempt to fill in the blanks, but at every opportunity Obama’s high-priced lawyers have built walls around various records or simply made them disappear.
It is estimated that Obama’s legal team has now spent well over $1.4 million dollars blocking access to documents every American should have access to.
The question is why would he spend so much money to do this?
The president who campaigned for a more “open government” and “full disclosure” will not unseal his medical records, his school records, his birth records or his passport records. He will not release his Harvard records, his Columbia College records, or his Occidental College records—he will not even release his Columbia College thesis.
All his legislative records from the Illinois State Senate are missing and he claims his scheduling records during those State Senate years are lost as well.
In addition, no one can find his school records for the elite K-12 college prep school, Punahou School, he attended in Hawaii.
What is he hiding? Well, for starters, some of these records will shed light on his citizenship and birth.
For example, Obama’s application to Punahou School – now mysteriously missing – would likely contain a birth certificate.
And, according to attorney Gary Kreep, “his Occidental College records are important as they may show he attended there as a foreign exchange student.”
Indeed, Obama used his Indonesian name “Barry Soetoro” while attending Occidental. Kreep has filed lawsuits challenging Obama’s eligibility to be president and as part of his lawsuit he requested Obama’s records from Occidental.
However, Obama’s lawyers quickly moved to stop Occidental from honoring this request.
Furthermore, now that at least three document authentication experts have declared the scanned “Certificate of Live Birth” Obama’s campaign team gave to a pro-Obama website to be an obvious phony; we know that he is hiding something here as well.
Over 49 separate law suits have been filed on the eligibility/birth certificate issue alone, with several of the suits making it all the way the United States Supreme Court, only to be denied a full hearing.
You're wrong....there is serious doubt about his legitimacy as an Amerikan.
Excellent points, WTC. Lot's of missing pieces about our POTUS. One other thing, these elementary, high school, and college applications would show his social security number. It would also indicate if he used a different social security number as a college student than when he was a child. This guy is a mystery.
Does he have a different social security number today than when he was a child?
If I was Obama and these allegations of being born in Kenya or losing my US Citizenship by becominf a resident of Indopnesia, then I would do the same thing: seal all my medical records, all school applications, seal my birth records, seal my grades, and pay a law firm to enforce all of the above.
Makes sense, if I got something to hide...
The real question is how many times did John Boehner's dad pork his butt and make Jonnny polish Daddy's sausage, since it turned John Boehner into a permanent mental basket case who can't say three words in a row in public without breaking down into embarrasing wimpering and tears.

No, there is NOT "serious doubt." There is speculation and suspicion-mongering on the fringes. That's it.

He may not have a SS number as a child. It was not until recently that children were assigned a SSN at birth. I do not think I got mine until I was a teen and I am about the same age as Obama.
I cannot stand Obama's policies (and from what I see, I do not think I would much like him as a person either), but I have no doubt that he was born in Hawaii. I do wonder why so much of this stuff has been blocked. Presidential candidates are willing to release their tax records, but not a college application? Seems strange.
