Of course, I do value human life. I cannot argue with that. But crippling a human being isn't as severe as murdering a dog(s). IMO, of course.

Dogs are loyal. Most humans are giant phonies, who pretend to care about one another, but only because failing to do so would mean being ostracized by society themselves. When society breaks down, such as in Afghanistan, Rwanda, Sudan, Somalia.... Lord of the Flies... humans can be downright evil. Look at the history of torture in human society if you think that humans are good. Other animals may kill one another from time to time but they don't take joyous pleasure in inflicting as much suffering as possible before taking a life. Give me a dog any day.

Players in the NFL choose to play in the NFL and choose to subject themselves to potential long-term injuries that come with playing a violent sport. The NFL is trying to somewhat protect them more with all these fines for helmet-to-helmet hits. It is also somewhat contradictingly trying to increase the regular season to 18 games, though.

Western society has a tendency to turn its back towards human abuse such as child slave labor in Asia or genocide in Darfur. That should not be the case; a human is always above an animal. Maybe western society finds it easier to develop strong feelings for dogs since they are not "out of sight, out of mind" like those other cultures are.

I think I should apologize. Michael Vick is actually a fairly good guy. I, on the other hand, hate every one. Even myself. I think people should get tattoos on their heads saying they are nazis. I have one. It's weird being a skinny little asian dude with a schwhatstiker on my noggin.

Am I reading this right? Are you saying putting a human being in a wheelchair for the rest of their life isnt as severe as dogfighting?? You are out of your fvcking mind. A DOG IS A ANIMAL!!! I dont see any difference between dogfighting and the Iditarod. Its a sport and sometimes dogs die. Why dont whitefolks have a problem with people involved in the Iditarod. I'm pointing out white people because they are the only ones treating Vick like he killed a human being. In the 2009 Iditarod, NINE dogs died. 2 froze

to death. Are they dog killers?

What Vick did was sick and inhumane. Dogs aren't people, but they feel pain just like any other animal (and guys what, humans are aminals too dumbshit. Scientific name: Homo sapiens sapiens). However I digress. My point is, how anyone can willingly cause vicious harm to any animal with no feelings of remorse is despicable. It just proves Vick has a sick and demented mind.

I'm not saying he has to pamper his dogs and feed them USDA choice beef, but he could at least not kill them like a sick, demented freak.

Its funny that you mentioned USDA beef. Do you think the cow they killed for your last hamburger didnt feel pain? Do deer feel pain? Do chickens feel pain? Do you wear leather tennis shoes or coats? Are you saying you dont eat or wear animals?

Not true. Chimpanzees and dolphins "take joyous pleasure in inflicting as much suffering as possible before taking a life." Wild dogs have no compulsion against viscous killing.

I'm not going to sit hear and tell you I'm a vegetarian. I'm not. However, the cow that was killed for my last hamburger, or the chicken that was killed for the last chicken sandwich I ate certainly didn't die the same way that Vick's dogs did. They weren't pitted against each other and had to fight till the death nor did they die slowly and painfully. The process is done in as quick a fashion as possible; furthermore, the meat that is produced feeds people and prevents starvation.

Vick killed these dogs for no reason other than he's a sick individual. I'm not saying he should have been tried for murder; however, if you seriously believe that what Vick did is even remotely acceptable/not as bad as people have played it out to be, then you are just as twisted in the head as he is.
