I can assure you Wisconsin does not think they are too good for any in state runner. It comes down to scholarship money and a walk on at Wisconsin is probably gonna get a full scholarship to Marquette or around 50% to a school like Minnesota.
Every school wants to get the recruits that are gonna be all american their freshman year, but there are only a couple of those a year. Wisconsin will still be good with whoever goes there because they have the traditional and a system that works.
EXACTLY.
Elliot Krause was 17th till a quarter-mile to go. he had a tough day but I think we can all agree he should have been an all-american. Peacock, was All-american his THIRD YEAR(red shirt so), and Elliot is in his true Junior year.
Elliot was 11th at FL MW, i.e. he didnt qualify for footlocker and was a walk-on. Yet here he is, one of the key cogs to a Strong badger team. I garuntee nobody was talking about this kid out of high school on the national level. Just need to keep geeting Krause's and Ershen's sprinkled in with your Darling/Hatz/Sheilds' and your occaisional Ahmeds as they only come around so often. Its all about the development and who can stay heathy longer
