When I'm not training on the track in spikes I wear Mizuno, I need to replace the Wave Idaten shortly. My generation didn't wear the clunky trainers that runners wear now, and I can't run in them so I go for light, low heeled shoes.

Rotate Brooks Launch, Ghost, and Defyance. Cascadias for trail stuff.

A few pairs of NB 790's that I still have kicking around
Do you feel a difference between the DS and the Kinvaras given the low heel-to-toe in the Kinvara?
I'm 54 and I've been wearing Zoot Ultra's for the last 7 months - my 4th pair now. Light weight and minimal. Great shoes for the track, hills, tempo runs, and medium distance runs.
I've used adidas supernova classics for probably 7 years, and Adidas just killed them off. Trying the Adizero Tempo, but it doesn't fit right.
Starting to get the cold sweats - I have 4 more supernova classics in the closet and then I have to switch to bowling I suppose.
NB MT 100s and Nike Streak XC 2 - I like lighter shoes.
Adidas adizero Boston
Rotating between Nike Free Run, Free 5.0 and LunarRacer. Race shoes are Zoom XC. I like a snug fit and the Nike last seems to fit my foot well. Male, age 49, 132 lbs. 70mpw peak this year. No mechanical issues. I've never been able to do stiff shoes and was training in race flats even in my 20's and 30's. I feel like there is too much shoe technology available that people with no issues embrace, causing problems for them. I'm not a minimalist but am glad for the current trend in no frills shoes.
Loving the Air Pegasus 27.
Lunaracers (first version) for my long runs, Piranha's and Kilkenny XC's for everything else.
I see the other thread about music and the several Dead Boys mentions has inspired some usernames.
I turn 40 this year and I train in:
NB 905/905 (904 is very cheap at Joe's New Balance Outlet)
ASICS Bandito ($37 a pair with coupon at RW until tomorrow)
Adidas Adizero Mana (on sale at Holabird)
NB RC 769 (very cheap at Joe's New Balance Outlet)
Alternate between ASICS DS 8 Racer and Banditos for all types of daily runs (NOTE: Running Warehouse still has a supply on Banditos and selling at an unbelievable low price) Race in Piranha's

Joe G., the Kinvaras feel more responsive than the DS, and the low heel seems to better promote a mid-foot strike.
On another note, I love your website. Wish we had something like that here in northern NJ. Are you still running in the Rockies? I would offer to meet for a run there sometime, but I don't think I could keep up with you.
45
mizuno inspire - everyday
mizuno elixir - tempos, long races
mizuno musha - speed workouts & short races
all three have similar feel, just progressively less shoe.
Asics Piranha 2 (just added to my stockpile @ $44 with Running Warehouse's current sale)
Adidas Adizero PR
Mizuno Wave Universe
Nike Streak XC 2
Probably like the Adizero PR best of all (and I apparently got the second-to-last pair of size 8), but the margin between these is pretty minimal for me.
Adizero Adios and Aegis are great... I also wear the Pro.
Thinking of trying the Brooks Green Silence at some point I like the Brooks flats, looks like it would work.
How do the Bandito and the DS Racer 8 differ?
adidas Supernova Sequence (2 pairs)
adidas adizero Tempo (for workouts of the same name and longer races)
adidas adizero Mana (racing)
adidas Edge Arriba spikes
Asics DS Trainers 7 (can't seem to kill them)
Very similar shoe. The DS Racer 8 has replaced the Bandito in the ASICS line. The DS Racer is somewhat wider in the forefoot and depending on who you get your information from, might be a little lighter 7.6oz v. 7.9 for the Bandito. Although I have also seen the DS Racer listed at 7.9 oz. They both are flats that tend to be more supportive and have a medial support. I continue to buy the Banditos at Running Warehouse for as long as they last for $49.99 and 25% off of that right now. As soon as they are gone, it is back to the DS Racers.

If I can do it for Westcherster, anyone can do it for where they are. Do you think it makes sense to have an Intro-to-the-Rockies Day for any interested folks in the NYC area, all paces welcome?
Sorry for the off-topic everyone.
