Disagree. In every single facet of running you could compare the two (PRs, record against elite competition, performances at championship races) Mottram comes out on top. Teg is a great runner and I really hope he continues to improve but he isn't on Mottram's level YET.

Looks like Teg and Mottram were pretty close until the kick since the win was by 3 seconds, good job to both of them, its nice to see some guys being able to hold their own against the seemingly invincible african runners

I think an above poster made a valid point that some of the top runners who finished a little behind the lead pack in Stockhold also ran on Friday in Paris. The runners I am talking about are Chebii, Ebuya, Boniface Songok, and Warga. Warga ran 7:51 in Paris, then came to Stockholm and ran 7:41. Pretty impressive.

It still looks like Tegenkamp knew what he was doing and did it well. There's no doubt in my mind he will be in similar form this Olympics as he was at the world champs last year. I wish the best of luck to him and am curious to know how he feels about this race.
