Well, when I was in college(which was a long time ago) I ran 24:36 at Willamette and 25:04 at Parkside. That's just me though.
yeah wups, my school planner is wrong, sorry guys.
what happened to MidAmerica at OSU...I thought I did not see any of the kenyans names on the results...I also saw the times for the team and WHAT THE??? what happened to them? Did they not run the race b/c of what happened... Thanks...
the top 3 guys on the team locked their spikes and stuff in the van. They couldnt find the coach in time to unlock it and run. Thats why they looked so bad, but considering that their top runners that day were usually thier 4 and 5 it wasnt bad.
isnt reyes graduated. He was a senior in track
Yeah benecourt was the idaho state mile(4:10) champ a few years back.He finally has a group of guys he can train with and if he keeps his head on things there could be many surprises. I feel Minot has a great shot at winning the NAIA and B.tighe will be top 3 for sure.
Reyes was a senior in track... won the 10K. Looking for the double crown his last season of eligibility.
There are a lot of good predictions. All I can say is, in the next 3 weeks there will be a lot of change in the national rankings. I agree that Southwestern is probably not a top 3 team considering that they got shalacked by CMC this past weekend and I am sure that the polls will say that. Mid-States will be a big head turner, as will Mount Marty Inv. A lot of ranked teams and I am sure a lot of surprises. This Friday you will see a mared change in the top 15, possibly at the top, particularly SW, CMC, and maybe MANU. I suspect that Concordia may drop out of the top ten. Those are just my predictions. But the fun is merely just beginning. As for top individuals. I know of about 30 guys who have a shot at top 10 or 15. Andrew Smith has yet to show up at school, apparently with passport problems, so I doubt he will be a factor. Look also for Atem from Park U to be up there. We will see though.
i think eastern oregon will win because they train in oregon and that is where pre trained, also look for graceland to win it all, apparently they've been hiding two potential 24:30 guys! wow

LOVE Those Eastern Oregon boyz!!! So cute! Sexxy, and they run fast!!!! WOW know one knows what they are up Against, STUDDS!!!
boit and tighe will definitely finish 1-2 unless some other foreigner comes out of the woods. All you guys are forgeting the ultimate X-factor at nationals to. COLD WEATHER! If the weather is cold Minot St will win. If the weather is cold the coast teams will choke. If its warm its anybody's race. I agree on the overating of southwestern at 3rd, although i think they are definitely top ten material.
It'll be a good race for the top spot. Probably as good as, and more competitive, than Life's wins with Misoui and Nyamongo
Lest we all forget, BH came in ranked #1 last season and finished 9th. Their third runner fell and could not continue (ankle), and that surely effected the other runners behind him. They had 2 A-A's (3rd and 12th) instead of the predicted 4. Just be cautious will all the predictions of 5 A-A's for Minot; they are good, but not that good.
The right race strategy is key--going out to fast will kill your legs for the second time up the hill. B. Tighe is a great runner and in excellent condition, and I watched Boit put it into cruise mode after 1K at the Jamboree; he looked very fit. Also, John Ngure from Huntington was running well early, but I have not seen anything fro him in a few weeks. Reyes is always a threat, and we have seen him beat the Tighe Bros. head to head when they had a poor race strategy. Newell is the dark horse. He was 3rd in the marathon after recovering from a collapsed lung (I think) 1 1/2 months prior to the race. Wheatley looked awful at the Jamboree, by the way. Central Methodist's 2nd guy looked good, though.
Zippo:You are making your times up!If not, you better reveal your identity so we can check the records.PS: "WE" think you are a sore looser!

Yes,
Reyes beat Tighe because of "poor race strategy." That strategy being getting food poisioning the night before the 10k and puking his guts up all day. He learned from that mistake in the 5K and handed Reyes his hat in the 5k.
Reyes only topping of Brad.
(As for Mike, his 10k 4th was his fastest 10k and highest finish outdoors. Sucky race plan again)
Well, I don't know what a sore "looser" is and I don't have time to go back in history looking for results to verify my times. Why would I make up my times anyway and why are they hard for you to believe? If you have a way to look up past NAIA results, let me know. The four years I ran at Nationals and the four years I ran at Willamette, my times were always within 30 seconds of each other.
I'll still be able to sleep at night if you don't believe me.
Life or lubock Christian
both sold there soles to bring in full ride forgeiners, and yes they were great. Lubock beat arkansas bad in the hay day, but now they don't even have programs. Who has the best team in the history of the NAIA.
I gotta go with Lubbock in the early-mid 1990s. Randich 28:16. James Bungei, et. al. Great squad of hired guns. They beat an Adams State team that swept D. II their first year in that division.
