How about a 13:15? There was a guy on here who I think could do that.

Or you could just run and race because you enjoy it.
Your call, but I recommend the latter
I'll second this. No one will shoot you if you leave a sport you don't enjoy, but you set yourself up for a lot of frustration if you stay with it ONLY to get the numbers. Admire the greats and work to improve your own times, and beyond that, enjoy the journey!

You wanna say that "Top athletes" use steroids, fine, be wrong. But when you put a name to those athletes and now you are taking away from their individual accomplishments with no proof.
You have no right to do so.

i've always disliked this statement, because there is someone who is the best in the world. Kenny B can run the 5km faster than anyone else can!
Yes there is someone who is the best in the world. Like 99.999999999% of the population, the original poster is not that person. The point, of course is that if you need to be the best in order to have motivation in life, you are in for some serious disappointment in life.
I guess the concept of "innocent until proven guilty" doesn't apply to athletes, huh?

That is only in the court of law. Has nothing to do with public opinion.

OJ was found not guilty in a court of law.
But paid millions in a civil suit. The most expensive murder never committed.

Is that "sheeeit" a reference to Senator Clay Davis on "The Wire"
Because he was the first person to ever say it like that.
12:37 doesn't bother me. It's the 5K distance.
I can run 12:37 just not for 5K.

Good one! The key is to find one's 12:37 distance! It's out there!
i kinda like running wrote:
12:37 isn't that great. There was this kid in my ROTC class in high school who ran the 5k in like 12 flat. And that was with boots on. But he never went out for the track team.
"Was"? Did he leave your class recently?
