Nice call Malmo! An apology is in order for this one.

Good lord Malmo.

My source was wrong and I should have known better, but given the seriousness of the news I assumed he wouldn't get this one wrong. He did.
The fact he reported as fact, and the rumor was reported as rumor, not a breathless SALAZAR IS DEAD. When he got the straight scoop, he made it known immediately. Worry about Al and not malmo.

It's hard to say. The person who reported that he didn't make it, I believe, wouldn't make a mistake given the gravity of the news.
you simply cannot make a mistake like that
thank God he's still with us
Come on guys, be easy on Malmo, this is a serious situation and he handled it fine. He relayed what he thought was a reliable source of really bad news, and corrected it as soon as he knew. We should be glad it's good news and not true after all.

To assume is to make an ass out of u and me.
I suspect both Malmo and I are feeling a little foolish at the moment. "The news of his death was greatly exagerated".
I called some very importnat people so I have been recalling everyone with the good news although the fire has spread already that he passed.
Look at this site if you are over 40 and still training hard or if you are just training hard. I have no interest in this except as a coach, but have tested magnesium levels in athletes for over 20 years and too many are out of norms.
He just did and handled it correctly. Get off his back.
Get off it. I'm with the person who said "Worry about Al, not Malmo."

In a serious situation it's always best to keep your mouth shut until the facts can be verified.

I agree, but the guy made a mistake, didn't post anonymously and then later corrected a horrible mistake, what more can you ask for? One can't turn back time.
Malmo told nothing but what he knew. At no point did he confirm he was dead.
Man, I write some stupid crap but even I wouldn't write that someone is dead based on hearsay.
I was concerned after reading that first post, but I'm glad he's okay after all.
Does he have a history of heart disease in his family? 48 is young.
Why would Malmo rush to post this,(incorrect), news? Stupid.
Something inside me told me this wasn't true, but I chalked it up to disbelief! Having known Alberto since he was a freshman it was a bit shocking! I am usually very patient and wait until I know for sure. In this case I overreacted. I sincerely apologize to anyone that may have heard about this thru my pipeline.
The internet speeds up the world maybe a bit too much at times. ;+)
give it and malmo a rest!
get beter al!
Get well soon Al. You too Malmo.
I know his cardiologist, a big believer in stents. Provided Al did not suffer too much myocardial damage he should do ok. Let's keep AS in our thoughts.
I'll pass along any additional news that I hear.
