I've used a running stroller off-and-on for the last 13 years. Has it helped my running? It has if you factor in that I was able to run at times when babysitting might had precluded a run. I do not use it on the "false-guided premise" that I'm spending time with my kid while endeavoring to participate in my favorite pasttime. I look at it as an opportunity to get my run in when other factors are endeavoring to prevent me from running.
As someone noted above, I wouldn't use it for intervals, hills, or tempo runs, but they are fine for recovery, easy, and/or long days when you're just running. They won't turn you into a zombie where you're racing with your arms stuck out in front of you.
There appears to be a consensus on this board that there is a time to run hard and a time to run easy. Use the jogger on the easy days. As far as comparing the efforts go, don't. Just put in the time or the miles.
