Sugarcane = Bitter L O S E R
Go out and find a job. Stop complaining and work for once. Oh, I forgot. No one wants you to coach at their school. Just go look in the mirror and start crying again as you feel sorry for your pathetic self.

I don't think Vig has anything to do with this discussion...
Jason Vigalante has done a good job at Texas but he it is also true that he gets his pick of the litter in Texas and other states it seems. Now Harbour has been at Baylor for a while and he still has not done crap. In fact, Texas A&M beat both UT and Baylor last year. Harbour inherited a great team: Davenport (1:49/3:52 HS), Bekesi (3:46/ 14:26), King was a stud at North Texas. Harbour really has not developed anyone. It is even worse on the womens side. Holly Moser 2:12/4:56 HS/ Emily Bonilla 11:13, Erin Dixon 10:57, Stephanie Bennet 4:301500 have never run anywhere close to their capabilities.
Wow, are you people gay or what
every runner on the baylor squad has more talent and bigger balls than all of you
why don't you quit bashing and go out and run or something.
then maybe someday you'd get a chance to go to a great school like Baylor.
or on the other hand, you can all continue posting and show me how homo you are.
if a cubs fans bitches about the awful , dreadful fielding about sammy sosa, and his showboating during a tuesday 1pm game that the cubs are losing 12-2 after 6 innings he is marked as a cubbie fan. if butch from the cape calls weei after bledsoe lost his game in buffalo and says, \\\" i told you in 1998 he has a weak arm\\\", we look at these observers as fans.
negative , sure, but fans. baylor football sucks in b12 and i\\\'m sure out here somewhere in cyberland, those still alive in waco are on messageboards pining for the glory days of Grant Teaff ( sp?)
when dreadful teams stir up interest it seems that the sport has arrived. why is it that a guy who goes to 80 red sox games and swears that he would jump off the tobin if the sox got rid of trot nixon, is called a diehard? why is that a guy who sees the gwu patriots running 27 or 29 or whatever and getting headdanced by fordham or whatever team averages 26:59 at vcp, is called a man with an agenda?
if talk radio was full of pundits bemoaning the demise of usc xc since ronmey mahorter (only an example) , would you complain?
let\\\'s be happy the guy recognizes the activity as a sport. the gwu performance is an insult to the teams that travel hundreds of miles and spend thousands of dollars thinking that when the gun goes off they will be competing against trained athletes.
more talent? this might be true, however a good number of the people on this board have worked harder and smarter as such to run faster than almost everyone, if not everyone, on the baylor team.
i ran for the woodlands (girls team) and can tell you the guys are kick ass. thats why they beat baylor, that and the fact that BAYLOR SUCKS. if you saw their girls of big 12 in playboy, some actually had bathing suits on in the pics...
Sam Houston State University beat the Baylor Bears today at the Rice Invitational. It was a 6k race.
Sam Houston State - 41pts
Baylor - 44pts
Rice - 46pts
Baylor went 1-2 with Bo Price winning and Rob Morrow coming in second. I'm not sure of the other places for Baylor, but Sam Houston went 3-5-8-10-15-16 (if i remember correctly).
SHSU beat their "B Team". Their B Team? Everyone except their top 3 (or is it their top 2 - rumours abound that bekesi may be ineligible) ran at the meet. Harbour needs to be a little more responsible in his labeling. anyways, good job to SHSU, making their presence known.
what does define a 'B' Team? Baylor did run 4 or 5 of their top 6 or 7 guys. A real 'B' Team is something like the number 10-20 guys. Baylor ran their 'A' team minus a couple guys.
It is sorry to run most of your top five and call it a B-team to avoid what they must perceive as an embarrassing loss. Probably not as bad as losing to a high school. Props anyway to Sam Houston for the win. Didn't Harbour recruit King, Price, Bernal, Davenport, Morrow and Chance. Maybe one of the Grapevine boys was already there but I'm sure he recruited the rest. I would think they should be running better.

This is to oldman and the person using the name vacek. I am Mike Vacek, if you are a vacek call me. I want to know how we are related. If you are not a vacek use another name when posting your opinion.
You cannot even begin to compare a high school team with a college one. You obviously know nothing about collegiate running/training. Otherwise, you\'d realize that at such an early time in season, colleges (depending on each different one\'s training philosophy) have not even started doing speed work. In case you\'ve forgotten, college teams are training to peak at one meet and one meet only, that being the Regional meet. Do you know what that is? It is the one where teams compete to qualify for NCAA\'s. I\'d assume that you know what Regionals is, but as I read from your message above, you know nothing about running. I hope I am coming down hard on you, that way you\'ll think twice before going online talking trash again about a subject to which you know nothing about. If you/any other observer has any questions about Baylor running, or any other school for that matter, call and ask the coach.
And before you guys go read/critique that last posted message about training for one meet, all teams train to peak at Regionals in hopes of getting to NCAA's and from there just hold on to their peak. Unless you are Arkansas in the South Central Region, you are not guaranteed a trip to NC's.
Thanks for the reply, Mike. Sorry for my confusion on that impostor's post--I should have known it didn't come from anyone in your family. Hope ya'll have a great XC season.
Mike, you didn't leave a number. There alot of Vaceks in this world. And, why do you care???
If you are from Texas who follows xc for the last 6 years you would know why I care. My daughter and future son-n-law both go to Baylor along with many of our friends.
Who are they??? Your daughter and son-in-law?
Jessa and Matt.
