although i wish it were carl's 9.86.
does anyone remember watching the '91 world champs? that was possibly the greatest 100m race of all time. i was 11 and taped it because i had a baseball game. my dad watched it live and was so excited when he saw me, he could barely wait to tell me what happened, but of cousre it was just a 100 so i was brought up to speed quickly!!!!

I've heard of lots of guys running a champ meet, crapping out, run an all comers the next day and run a PB. Easy to miss peaking or be off one day but bounce back. THe other Komen milestone not mentioned is his sub 8 two mile he did in Belgium in '97 then did again later. Only man under 8 for two miles. THat should have been front page on all the papers.
