Gabby Thomas said she is going to Seriously see how well she can run in the 400 this year, but a 10.95 personal best in the 100 and a 21.70 EARLY in the season for her as July- September is her Season at the level she is at, maybe she will stick with the short sprints, The 400 is interesting she would probably make the team, with Sydney McLaughlin meaning only 1 individual spot left, Aaliyah Butler is My Favorite so if Gabby Thomas runs the 400 I get worried.

Whereabouts has she been training for the 400?
Gabby Thomas is Coached by Tonja Buford Bailey in Austin Texas
Nice 1:58.52 PR by Victoria Bossong in 3rd in 800...
And Michaela Rose back to form with a 1.59.59 going out in 56.88 and coming home in 62.71.
I just don't get it. All the physical talent needed to be a very good professional - zero understanding of how to run the event she is somehow a professional in.
Shane Cohen 1:49 for 800m. Curious to what is happening for this athlete who seemed to have a big trajectory.
Big trajectory based on what, one good race at NCAA? Has he had even one good race since? I think his connection to Lanana is the only reason he got a Nike contract. And I like the guy, I've met his family, and I work in the area where he grew up. Nothing against him, but he is no way deserving of a pro contract. If you talk about Michaela Rose not knowing how to run 800, you have to put Shane at the very top of list for men. He's nowhere near good enough to linger in the back and think he can outkick people, not at the national level and certainly not at the world level.
It seems nearly all the women ran their second lap at least four seconds slower than their first lap. That seems like a big difference compared to the world-class women 800 runners??

Has Shane Cohen had a good race since winning NCAAs in 1:44.97 two years ago? Yes.
A few weeks later, he ran a 1:44.65 PR to place 6th at the US Olympic Trials.
Last year, he matched his 1:44.65 PR in France.
This year, he ran faster than Hoppel, Wightman, Brazier, Harris, Lagat, Kessler, Jewett, Strand, Teffra, and Whitmarsh at the LA Track Fest.
