Does he look like a skeleton with a condom pulled over his head?
Haha...immortal words of Wetmore. Think he mentioned Alan Culpepper as the ideal.
Back in the good old days, when men were gaunt and sick, and ran slower than today despite being thinner! Those were my days! And my coach used to call me fat despite being on a very restricted diet and running 120 miles a week. Not, "you need to optimize weight," but just mean comments like "Hey fatty, you'll never be fast if you can't lose weight."

Yup, came from same era and was obsessed with being as thin as possible. Always had such low energy for runs/workouts, but was convinced every pound would make me slower. Was definitely underweight and not optimized because of the prevailing "wisdom" of that era.
That is without a DOUBT the laziest workout video I have ever seen. No GFish. He was okay. But a 30-min workout video without a single note of MUSIC?! Painful... Did they livestream that? Even then...
What a weird way to start this thread. NYC isn't the fast/flat half course a lot of other spring races are. No doubt he could've set an AR at a place like Lisbon or Barcelona. NYC depends on other people being willing to commit to the pace, weather, and course. Weather looks ok. Upper-30s + light wind, but that light wind is a headwind the entire run. Going to be worth a small amount of time. He could run 59-flat to win or come top-3. He could run 62-mid to do the same. It's NYC. Can't bank on a time trial from the gun.
