Carmichael was not Armstrong’s coach when he started his doping. That was Jim Ochowicz. His doping “coach” was Michele Ferrari.
You just seem to be another dimwitted hater that didn’t respect Molly to begin with.
[Carmichael, Ochowicz, Bruyneel,, Weisel (huge) ]⬅️these guys were at the otc and doped everyone. Weisel bought USA Cycling, such a fycking loser, then Garcia del Moral, Marti, Ferrari.
I've been a fan/defender of Molly since her Olympics and covering the Nike logo with her puma shoe, but working with CTS is no bueno. :/ Carmichael is slimy. (incidentally, Tygart did defend all the gymnast rapists, and Rodchenkov was the brains behind the Russian doping program--definitely no angels in these sports.
your bringing up S that took place a long time ago. there is cheating in sports, all sports. always has been, always will be, get a clue. i'm sure molly will be disappointed that you have lost respect for her.

Lol, you think the doping started with Ferrari? Lance has ADMITTED that he started doping in his early twenties. Frankly, I think he might've started even earlier. (Plenty of high schoolers on steroids back then)
Molly Seidel has aligned herself with Carmichael Training Services (CTS) owned, founded and lead by one of the biggest doping advocates in endurance sports, Chris Carmichael.
His claims to fame he used to start his coaching business - coach of Lance Armstrong - which he blasted everywhere and used his connection to Lance to start CTS right up until Lance admitted to doping then he scrubbed any mention of him from his website and marketing. Carmichael's other claims to fame include coaching the U.S. Jr. Cycling program until he was sued by 2 junior cyclist who testified that Carmichael doped them so heavily that they had long terms medical complications. Yes he did this to juniors. Carmichaels move to ultra running landscape in recent years has been driven by the lack of comprehensive testing in that sphere.
Anyone that affiliates themselves with CTS should immediately be highly suspected.
Such a shame that Molly is self inflicting a black-eye on her reputation and career.
Did anyone ask you what your opinion of Molly Seidel was? This thread is totally pointless.
My losing a lot of respect for her was back a couple years ago when she made an IG post giving the middle finger after a court decision that supported religious freedom to resist gender ideology. It's perfectly proper to have viewpoints about politics and jurisprudence, but not to descend to this level of juvenile incivility.
But that was on a more personal level whereas obviously this relates more directly to the sport.
But you lost respect for her for expressing HER opinion? So you only respect opinions when they agree with yours? Plus this wasn't an OPINION. The was a court ruling. Opinions should not infringe on other peoples rights.
Because those are a bunch of no names. Molly has an Olympic medal in the marathon
SO sketchy.
If a Kenyan Olympic medalist was under a group with this guy's rep, they would be accused all over this site.
Koop from CTS himself has lashed out at me (as well as other ultra-running coachs) on social media over the years. I'll admit the Spring Energy case and 3rd party test results were informative (also eye opening!) and that ultimately he (amongst others) were right to "call me out" (as well as the Roches) on that particular issue. I had no idea Spring could be so off with their nutrition labels and facts. It caused me to cancel my contract mid-year. But in other examples Koop has just lashed out at me:
One of the reasons why was because I pointed out this connection with "how CTS was essentially built on the lies and doping of Lance Armstrong." (I'm very against doping!).
But the other point was "if you are such a good running coach...then why would you not branch out on your own and have your own name/brand/company to coach under?"
He really didn't like that!
Being in Colorado I've seen at lot of the CTS coaches and their "umbrella" under that brand. They have A LOT of money and resources and power. They also charge a massive monthly coaching fee it seems, but also seem to be "recruiting top ultra athletes" as part of the "marketing and sponsorship" approach imo. Cliff is corporate/military background kind of guy. Honestly with a talent like Molly it's just about making sure they can put in some decent volume, a mix of moderate quality and not get injured. She should have been able to be closer to Tara Dower at Black Canyon imo.
Pittman is the fourth coach to be hired in 2022, joining Addison Smith, Kerry Bonar, and Izzy Forrest. All four are available to take new athletes immediately.

Believe me Jason Koop patrols this site and reports everything against him. Every time I mention that he charges over 1k for coaching my posts get deleted. Sensitive man.

Do you really think that a company that is decades old, well known, large for the sector, and serves paying clients from the general public are doping their clients? Wouldn't it be the easiest thing in the world to set up a sting operation?
I see the company as like any other company started/founded/popularized/led by shady people. Like Uber, Tesla/SpaceX/X, Ford, Volkswagen, numerous prominent tech companies, etc. The clients are not really well connected to the evils of the leaders (or former leaders) of those companies.

Not quite. Molly using a CTS-trained coach is like having a consultant from a tech company give you management strategy for your startup. They, like Uber and Tesla, used aggressive, unethical business practices to help gain control of the market and thus, the obvious potential to do something shady. What you described would be like if she bought a book describing the CTS training plan like the Daniels or Hansons approach. It’s different and I wouldn’t think it would be best for her to be affiliated with such a bro organization. We’d all be skeptical if any other marathoner did this.
