Carmichael was not Armstrong’s coach when he started his doping. That was Jim Ochowicz. His doping “coach” was Michele Ferrari.

I'm sick and tired of American runners accusing everyone else of doping and cheating and then turning around and acting sketchy themselves.

Half of the elite field in ultras are training with CTS. Why aren't there threads about Katie Schide, Dakota Jones, or Timothy Olson?

Also, she isn't coached by Carmichael. She's coached by Cliff Pittman, who works for CTS.

It's good to be critical but this is not evidence that Molly is (presently) doping.

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing. The original post here is a little misleading. She’s coached by Pittman, who is employed by CTS. That doesn’t scream “obvious cheating” like the OP claims.

Also, cycling is a different discipline with a different doping situation.

It is indeed evidence, just not proof. An reasonable person would have to ask themselves the question about any of the elite/pros who work with CTS, if you are morally opposed to PED’s in our sport, why would you knowingly associate with a group founded my one of most notorious bad apple doping coaches in all of endurance sports.

Especially when for years he had professed and demanded all his coaches use his training philosophies, founded in doping.

You make a good point, we don't scrutinize the ultra sphere nearly as much as they deserve.

Easy money to be made in ultra with little testing. None of this seems at all a surprise. Whether Seidel is doping is almost irrelevant to the bigger picture of doping in running.

You have to win first before you make some money.

Seidel's "ultra career" will probably not be as long as they fans think. She is a worn out Marathon runner. If that would not be the case she still would do Marathons.

My losing a lot of respect for her was back a couple years ago when she made an IG post giving the middle finger after a court decision that supported religious freedom to resist gender ideology. It's perfectly proper to have viewpoints about politics and jurisprudence, but not to descend to this level of juvenile incivility.

But that was on a more personal level whereas obviously this relates more directly to the sport.

Carmichael is a fraud/beard; Ferrari was the real deal.
