There is NO PHOTO posted. The best American runner dies from being drunk and no seat belt. Guess that record marathon runner didn't heed that or Princess Diana dying no seatbelt- he was speeding and him and his coach no seatbelt

People have also died because they were wearing a seat belt - from getting trapped in one and burning to death.
It appears that there is snow where Pre is running. If it is, that's not Fargo St. I grew up three blocks away, and it hasn't snowed there since the late 40's or early 50's.

I think that you are seeing flowers on the trees and reflected sunlight on the pavement.
It is an old black and white photo.
Pre is dressed cool conditions, but the gentleman behind him on the left does not appear to be dressed for snow conditions - even by L.A. standards for the rare snow that sometimes falls here in the basin.
Letsrun and Yanks in general love Pre. He's the archetypal US distance runner. Wins nothing. Does nothing. Offers nothing. However he does allow other people to make money.
Money > sporting success. That's the American way.
Remember kids, drive fast, drive drunk, don't wear a seatbelt, due a hero with no medals
Apparently this is the steepest street in all of LA at around 32-33% incline! This would also make it one of the steepest streets in the world. Anyone know the year this was taken? Guessing ‘74, early ‘75.

If you click on the link for Waipio Road the average gradient is actually only 25% and reaches 40-45% in only a tiny section of the road. The worlds steepest street/road is Baldwin Street in Dunedin, New Zealand which has an average grad
Long-time Echo Park, Silver Lake, Los Feliz resident here. Echo Park absolutely is part of LA (we Angelenos rarely use periods).
Same here. It’s also a shame how most of Echo Park declined, despite some gentrification. It’s basically a dump. Silverlake has gotten much dirtier over the years and Los Feliz is barely hanging on as the blight creeps ever closer. The woke of course are in full denial.
