In theory she can. But many top high school girls can't stay healthy 3 years in a row. Jane Hedengren couldn't. Elizabeth Leachman couldn't. Rachel Forsyth couldn't. Claudia Lane couldn't.
I’m sure that thus has been brought up before, but will she be going to XC WC for Poland?
While it would be cool to see her at XC WC, I hope she doesn't. She's only a sophomore and she looked completely spent at the end of both NXN and Brooks, collapsing both times as she crossed the finish line. I think we saw the absolute best version of her at this time. She deserves a good break before heading into a long track season.
Yea, Im def concerned. There's a point where it feels like the adults are running their colt in as many races as possible. She's an old freshman really.
They've peaked and will only get slower when they actually get some semblance of HIPS and BREASTS.....
Hips? Sorry but that’s not part of the puberty process or a secondary sex characteristic. That would be called getting fat.
Both of these comments are disgusting. You're talking about 14-18 year old GIRLS. Their bodies are not your issue and furthermore, these comments are just blatantly misguided. Women don't get slower, just because they go through puberty. They may have some brief setbacks, because it's a demanding process to go through and your hormones are all over the place, but overall, they come out with stronger bones, more muscle, and better strength. So who's faster; women in college & professional fields or high schoolers? Please get educated.

2 things can be true at once. Women do get jipped on development compared to men. Biomechanical changes can be very economy-damaging in some girls/women even before getting to the energy issues you mentioned and iron issues and far far greater injury risk. But not all. Testosterone is quite a performance enhancer as well. Women have harder time of it, need more commitment for sure. Men have it easy.
