Natasza is definitely someone to watch for, but I hope that she is trained well so that she isn’t burnt out by the time she’s older. She’s clearly got the speed, endurance, and absolute grit to destroy any field. It’ll be so exciting to watch her this indoor and outdoor track season. I think we could see a ~9:45 3200m around May to June.

Leachman ran a 3200 in February in 9:45 after her first Foot Locker win. I don't think Dudek will need to wait until the spring to run around 9:45.

Yeah, I personally agree, but don’t want to compare athletes or place crazy standards. Leachman was someone else and had some stuff going on. I just want athletes to be healthy and happy.
I’m sure that thus has been brought up before, but will she be going to XC WC for Poland?
She made a comment in an interview, mentioning that “it’s a lot of travel” so I honestly think she’s leaning towards no.
The DyeStat article from today suggests it's more a question of how Poland will select its team. She herself doesn't seem to know. Looking at the 2024 World XC results, Poland didn't field a single athlete in ANY of the races, even though the it was right nearby in Serbia. So I'd think the odds of them doing so in the USA are slim. But she's a special case since she's already here, so maybe they'll also make a special case for her.
When Hedengren and Engelhardt were dominating, people said they looked much more physically mature than HS girls should(?) be, that this meant they wouldn't develop much further, etc. The fact is, female athletes in this age group just do vary a lot, and things can go a lot of different ways.

Hopefully, the “footlocker curse” will not turn in the “brooks curse”. Will be interesting in her junior/senior years if she can come close or even break Jane’s records.

…however, she’s not going to the European champs, so it would be a weird precedent
In theory she can. But many top high school girls can't stay healthy 3 years in a row. Jane Hedengren couldn't. Elizabeth Leachman couldn't. Rachel Forsyth couldn't. Claudia Lane couldn't.
Hopefully Natasza Dudek is the exception and she can stay healthy.

While it would be cool to see her at XC WC, I hope she doesn't. She's only a sophomore and she looked completely spent at the end of both NXN and Brooks, collapsing both times as she crossed the finish line. I think we saw the absolute best version of her at this time. She deserves a good break before heading into a long track season.
