Are we to believe that the MVA sports factory and coaching staff had no knowledge? This isn’t the only MVA athlete to get popped. Calls into question everything this school has “accomplished” in the sport.
Way to go fghhgf. Your know he's in the basement, notifications on, staring at his Commodore 64, ready to throw his word salad at the next brutally obvious, absurd guilty doper defense. This one just might be more idiotic than FoolAgain's flying pigs.
Thanks. The flying pig's nuts are actually a good comparison. Pretty much the same cascade of several impossibilities, hard to judge which one is worse:
- the illegal GW1516 present in a Gatorade manufacturing process
- but not always, just in one batch
- in that batch, only in open vials, not in sealed vials
- among those open vials, only in Asinga's
- among Asinga's gummies, only in 2 (+1 that he ate, lol)
- among the 2, only on the surface
- among the 2, in drastically different concentrations
- the coach currently banned for possession of GW1516.
The first point should already be enough for a conviction... But then comes grandstanding rekrunner, pretending without any argument whatsoever that there is "doubt", and "bad science", and "bad law", and "no supporting basis in facts or evidence" despite all of the above.
While we all can rejoice in the fact that one more doper got banned, it is really sad that he didn't choose (dare) to say that Phiri orchestrated his doping. Paul Greene advised him - like Shelburrito - very poorly, but saw $$$ in his eyes when suing Gatorade and dragging the case out:
a) The admission of doping would have reduced his ban from 4 to 3 years.
b) Given up his coach would have reduced his ban further, likely down to 2 years.
c) For the non-idiotic fans, and all potential future sponsors, that would have been also much less damaging for his reputation: poor high schooler doped by his greedy coach v. hardened stubborn hard-core drug cheat.
But here we are, with his well proven 4 year ban for hard-core intentional doping.
BTW if you haven't watched the CAS hearing or read the transcript: Greene tried here or there to implicate Phiri instead with vague hints, but again went deep into his Gatorade theory. They also asked Phiri to show up at the hearing, but he was too smart and egotistical for that.
"18 MARCH 2025, MONACO: The Athletics Integrity Unit (AIU) has provisionally suspended former Zambian Olympian and current USA Track & Field (USATF) licensed coach, Gerald Phiri, as part of an ongoing joint investigation with the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) triggered by three athletes – all coached by Phiri – returning Adverse Analytical Findings for the same prohibited substance. Between July 2023 and August 2024, three track athletes tested positive for Metabolites of GW1516 (also known as Cardarine), a Metabolic Modulator, which is a non-specified substance prohibited at all times under the Prohibited List of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA)."
Asinga and rekrunner blamed the gummies in Asinga's case. The others might blame a burrito or kissing a cross-fitter or hooker, and will receive rekrunner's "support" for their excuses.

If I recall, the gummies were tested and actually tested positive for the presence of GW1516.
There are a number of scenarios which could cause that.
