It’s a vaccine for pneumococcal pneumonia caused by streptococcus pneumoniae. Usually given to adults over 65 years of age and other susceptible people. With that being said, there are multiple other types of pneumonia that are not covered by vaccines.
A pneumonia vaccine is a vaccine against bacterial pneumonia caused by S.pneumonia.
Well there you go.
Nobody was talking about "bacterial" pneumonia in the first place, you brazen geek. "Pneumonia vaccine" was brought up to deflect about vax against covid, which also causes pneumonia.
Huh - didn't know there was a vaccine for pneumonia. The more you know...
It's not typically given to healthy young people. So if you don't have risk factors and are below a certain age, doctors are not going to recommend it. Conversely, over a certain age, most doctors will recommend getting one.
True. And like 99% of doctors. Same number that recommend tylenol for headache.
These forums are one of the stupidest corners of the internet. I don't know why I keep coming back to this site; today, I am making a firm resolution that this was my last visit.

A geek never wins, remember that.
You sound like one of those "science" guys that used to cry foul when somebody who had covid died of pneumonia..... and they listed it as a covid death.
A pneumonia vaccine is a vaccine against bacterial pneumonia caused by S.pneumonia. There are two types; Pneumovax - a starch based (polysaccharide) vaccine that provides partial protection against 21-serotypes of Streptococcus pneumoniae
Prevnar - (PCV7) which is a protein-conjugated vaccine that contains purified capsular polysaccharides from seven Streptococcus pneumoniae serotypes that are conjugated to a carrier protein (CRM197).
The vaccines given to nearly every U.S. child and senior were linked to higher pneumonia and death rates in one of the largest real-world studies ever conducted.
You didn’t read the study, right? If you’re going to reach a conclusion from a study, then at least look at who the patients are. To compare outcomes between 2 groups, they have to be matched. The people who were vaccinated had WAY more chronic diseases;
Here’s what Table 1 shows comparing the vaccinated (V) Group to unvaxed (UV)
