I really should not be critical given how successful Graham has been, but my gut reaction to hearing the training Gibby has Blanks doing is always that he could be much better in a setup that trained smarter. It must work well enough, but if this system was so good shouldn’t Harvard be able to at least eke out an Ivy League title?

I also don't consider Gibby's training to be ideal for most runners (although maybe it is the best system for Blanks, certainly the 6:00 pace easy runs are not too difficult for him). But I think Harvard has been successful given the level of talent they get, the more likely reason Princeton beats them is Princeton gets more/better recruits.

Hes had a an incredible amount of success under Gibby and I think the logic to stay with him was; this was his first year as a professional and not make too many drastic changes. Professional running is different from the NCAA on so many levels. I’m sure he will figure out the best path but I would say it’s been a really good first 5 months as a professional. Made the World team in the 10k,ran 12:48, finished third in Paris Diamond League, ran 7:29 and got a ton of experience that he will use moving forward as a pro.

Oh for sure. If i were him I’d have stuck with Gibby as well. He’s run very well

Graham exhibits bad forefoot mechanics for a 5/10k runner. It's just weird. He won't last too long in this profession. It looks forced and obliging unlike beatrice chebet's stern foot strikes which agrees more closely with the Lagrangian field theory L = T - V also known as circle space-time.
Chebet moves like a perfect circle like the ratio of phi or ratio of circle radius to circumference aka purrrfection! Check out all her tokyo 5/10k vids. Graham? He runs like a rectangle but I'm sorry it's not a sustainable way to run with sharp edges and jerky forefoot strikes.
I bet you had wonderful things to say about Chepngetich as well...
The OP probably had an astounding physics connection with the cosmos, the soul and mind to be able to glean such rare jewels of insights. Graham was clearly ungainly tiptoeing in his gait. The last I saw him train was when he was under his previous Harvard coach Gibby and I thought he still looked ok. Landing on the balls of his feet but now this is too much. He looks to be forcing the issue too hard. He wasn’t like that previously at Harvard. The laws of physics not gonna waste time on him. Chebet on the other hand was moving like a goddess of circles!! Every swing every space-time elapse was pure rotatory perfection!! Her feet flush perfectly with the ground with each leg stroke while Blanks was fighting it instead. Had blanks ran like Chebet he would be running 25:00 a minute up on Cheptegei’s 10k WR
His XC gear shift came late in his collegiate career, and I imagine (under Gibby's tutelage) it's only a matter of time until he acquires the magic mushroom on the track against the world's best.
Graham is done. He can't run for real. These kids last for an ephemeral time in college and they are done. To continue like before and run like Lagrangian circle they pop drugs. That's the way it goes. Fisher, Nuguse, Kessler, Hocker.

Wanna bet that I can objectively measure each and every athlete's stride mechanics viability and efficiency using basic geometry and compare it to the ratio of phi 1.618.........golden ratio? The athlete that adheres closest to 1.618.......... is predictable winner of a race on the day.
Beatrice won because i can bet easily that she had slightly more perfect golden ratio stats than kipyegon. Your whole system energy and vibration on race day, your win potential is directly a function of how close to the golden ratio perfection. Try it, ,test it you will be shocked out your wits.
I would love to patent my ideas and copyright it. I know i'm right.

It's not about training or coaching. i for one don't think beatrice training is superior to kipyegon. Training is so cliche now everybody isdoing more or less the same stuff with slight variations. you think the slight variations matter at all? actually not because the laws of physics says that any advantage gain will even out in space-time. if you think your double thresholds are your secret trick it still obeys the laws of diminishing returns. A curve that curves up will curve back down given time.
Don't be so stupid, the forum thinks they know a ton about 'training' but they do much better to know about directed energy attacks instead as this is the real 'thief' of health and energy.
