I see a lot of posts about how Laros "didn't peak correctly", yes that is true, and timing a peak for the middle of September is not easy. He's young and will be fun to watch in the coming years.
I don't think he watched the championship 1500m races from the past 4 years. The person who leads early doesn't win the race anymore. No one is significantly better than anyone, you've got to relax and draft, the last one to move up to the front wins.
He did, but it really does demonstrate how important experience is.
Kerr being injured completely derailed his strategy. He was hoping to go through 400 in the 50 somethings (lowish), and win the race in and around 3.30, kicking off Kerr.
But that race never materialised. It was an 800 runners dream and he should have put the pedal down far sooner.

Yeah, Laros choked. Nader proved EPO is a helluva drug. Kerr was not going to win this anyway. He didn’t look top form in the earlier rounds.
So basically, any time one's fav doesn't win, or anytime a "minority" or "outsider" person wins, there are tons of PED accusations. ... Have you ever self-reflected upon your bigotry?
