If she improves her times even by a little bit this year it might make sense to turn pro.
Ironically, even if she did go pro after she graduates high school, Arkansas has the best women's 400 and 400 hurdles training group in the country, so she might end up at Arkansas anyway.
However, with NIL money available, she doesn't need to go pro to make money. I'm sure that a sponsor would be willing to give her a very good NIL deal if she doesn't go pro and she runs in college instead.
You obviously don't understand how this works. Most top runners post on Instagram the names of the colleges that are their finalists. It has nothing at all to do with being indecisive. For all we know, she might have already decided where she wants to go and she is just creating drama.
In any case, signing day isn't until November, so there is no need for her to announce her college choice already.

She had a strong connection with NB after winning 3 titles at NBON, so I honestly thought she’d end up with an NB NIL deal. But instead she ended up as a Nike Elite—added later rather than being announced with the other girls. Makes me wonder what went down between her, NB, and Nike.
One thing I’ve noticed over the years is that kids typically don’t pick the school that is the odd man out on the list. She’s heavily considering big state schools like Florida and Georgia and Arkansas. Vandy and Duke are not that. She will end up at Florida or Arkansas is my guess
it has to do with track maybe not working out as a career in the future and having a degree thats worth more than the paper it's on.
I'm not sure how into academics Natalie Dumas is. She keeps claiming she's bad at school but maybe that's just a joke she likes to tell.
She did say in a recent interview she wants to go to a college that will help her get into the Olympics. Arkansas student athletes got 7 track and field medals at the 2024 Olympics which is pretty darn good.
She goes to a pretty good school, one of the better public schools in New Jersey and from what I am told she is a good student. Perhaps not a Duke caliber student, but truth be told Duke like a lot of tier one schools, the difficult thing being getting in. I know the logic behind her list which has something with priortizing programs with coaches who are going to respect her individual goals.
I didn't know that. If she's not very bright then Arkansas is probably a perfect school for her.
If She is Considering Vanderbilt and Duke She is VERY Smart, Those Schools are not Ivy League But like The Service Academies They are close To Ivy League Academically. You do not go To those Schools if your IQ is not OVER 130
Your capitalization indicates you are well qualified to make that call . . .
Seriously, though, these are R1 schools, and the quality of undergraduate education will be similar across them all. Yes, I have the academic credentials and life experience to back this up.
However, if her non-running career is a priority, Vandy or Duke will open WAY more doors, at least during her early career. The only caveat is if she would also be attending graduate school, in which case the quality of the graduate program (which is not going to be consistent across R1s) will make the difference.
If Olympics and/or a grad/professional school-dependent career is the goal, Hogs all the way. Running in Fayetteville is t**s.

Natalie Dumas has made it very clear that going to the Olympics and being a pro runner is her main goal.
Posters that think she should go to a more prestigious academic college are assuming that she will actually stay in college for all 4 years. She already ran close to pro times as a 16 year old. It's likely she will only run in college for 1 or 2 years and then go pro, just like Sydney McLaughlin, Athing Mu, and Sha'Carri Richardson.
On the other hand, if she does want to get a degree and be a pro runner at the same time, Arkansas has a great pro training group she can train with and still be a student and work towards her degree. The best of both worlds.
Lol how you even got on your computer proceeded to suggest Natalie Dumas should EVEN CONSIDER going to Rutgers of all programs. You had a chance to maybe contemplate the stupidity of your response but no you hit post. To quote a particular Adam Sandler movie. What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.
Maybe if they had Dumas their woman can take a huge leap from 13 points at BIG 10s to maybe a whopping 43! Which would still barely crack the top 10.
