I’m sorry, after the Grand Slam debacle and the “Nationals” contested in a three-quarters empty stadium, I’m not taking distance running seriously as a professional sport. 👎
On Hunter's strava he said that nacacs would likely be the end of his season though he might run the 5th ave. mile and explore other races
He also made a sorry excuse about not having enough points because he didn't get into good meets. Nah Drew. It's YOUR fault for not going after the standard. You could have raced the Sunset Tour 5000 where Brian Musau ran 12:59 but you chose to do the 1500. That's on YOU buddy! Take responsibility for your own predicament.

Isn’t it all irrelevant, since Drew got fourth at USAs?

Honestly it would have been worse if he got 3rd. Nico would still be on the team.

conditions weren't good, but I feel like that's what it is every year at Olympics and worlds.
must have been a case of the only two guys capable of running fast, also NEEDED the win. so nobody was gonna go for it. was this a waste of a trip for them?
Its a 5k, not a marathon. The conditions dont mean that much in a 13 to 14 min race. They are just not that fast compared to the elites.

Totally agree, but Drew was never gonna run sub13.
Really sad to see Teare fans go out with a whimper. Not Teare himself, he’s doing okay. Wish he made the team. Don’t like that he’s been consistently losing to an aging Hunter. But feels like nobody cares anymore ever since new talent has emerged.
P.S. You guys suck at gossip because I’m just finding out they’re Eskimo brothers.
Sub 13 is obviously very fast. But it isn't this show stopping performance anymore, Hacker and Knevelbaard were really close to doing it, 13:03 and 13:04 I believe a week ago. Teare has done it and we don't know even know if he can make the 3k steeplechase team. Again these guys are all going to regret it when Nathan Green/Luke Houser types takeover that event.
