She lacks speed because she's never trained for speed. That's the coach's fault.

She ran 4:35 in the mile in 2019 before super shoes and before bicarb. That's a really good starting point. If Nico and Grant Fisher gained speed, if Allie actually tried she probably could have too.

I really like Allie but she is too distracted by the whole social media nonsense. Take a full year off posting anything and concentrate on the work. You didn't see Brady distracted by SM and don't see Ronaldo, Messi, or LeBron spending all their time making and editing videos.

I agree she needs a coaching change, but no one on the face of the earth needs a coaching change more than Athing Mu

I'd like to see her stop trying to be a pro runner, just run for fun and use her many other talents to live a happy and productive life. I know it is hard to give up something that your whole life has been built around, but I;d rather see her happy personality move over to something like working with kids to teach them about the outdoors, healthy lifestyles and the importance of talking to others when something is wrong.

Other than Coburn and Quigley, she has by far and away more followers than any other steepler. She doesn’t have the talent to be competitive on the world stage, and she’s not that competitive on the national stage, but she’s positively impacting a lot of people giving insight into her life as a pro runner and influencer. She presents as a real person in social media, with lots of ups and downs in her career path. There is a lot more to being a successful professional runner than simply running fast. She is growing the sport.

I agree with this. She's a pro runner. Pro runners race. Her post seemed a bit selfish especially when fans spend money to come see her. Check your feelings at the door.

She said in her post

”Racing is one of the most exciting parts of my life so to have it elicit zero emotion was, frankly, terrifying.”

Last time I checked, fear (feeling terrified) is an emotion.

thus, she’s admitting she was too scared to race.

the whole part about it eliciting zero emotion is BS when you follow that up by saying you’re terrified.
