Does downvoter not realize Hoey own the World Record in the 1000m?
But somebody in the thread said nobody or other, even Rudisha, but only BMiller could compete in the 400m and 800m or could compete with fantastic times in both the 800m and 1500m, no?

The man just ran a 3:35 1500. He's definitely capable of a 1:42. Maybe a 1:42 low.
The 800 at USAs is going to be incredible. 4th place might be 1:42.5.
B Miller is one of my favorites, and I hope he makes the team. But who dies he beat? The Hoe is a lock unless he gets busted beaten now and next weekend.
Hoppel seems inconsistent but it is the AR holder. Would also love to see Brazier make it, but do all the pieces fall into place by next weekend?

Should be Hoey, Hoppel, Miller at the end, to put an end to Brazier getting a free pass from accusations after he’s provided three years of nothing. Please.
True. If say Hoppel had been out for years and then came back in such fashion you’d never hear the end of the drug accusations. I’m rooting for Miller, Hoey, Hoppel, don’t care about the order. Also hoping Lutkenhaus can at least get into a fast semi and bust a 1:44.

I'm not rooting against him and I wish him success, but 3:35≠1:42.
At USAs all these guys will have to run rounds. I'd guess that 4th place will be 1:44.1 in the final. Miller can absolutely do that. Tactics will play the most critical role in this event this year.
Millet and Hoey will force it to lead the group. Miller will be the pace setter and Hoey will tuck in until 300 to go and then it will be about how much he has left. Or, maybe he’s learned another tactic.
Not sleeping on Brandon Miller, just praying he doesn’t beat Brazier. How much better will it be if Brazier makes the team though, great guy who’s been through a lot and should definitely make the final at worlds. Miller screams someone who gets knocked out in the semis. Plus he’s a brooks beast and Josh Kerr is running fairly well which means non of the others are allowed to. How Danny Mackey has a job still is beyond me.
DB doesn't have the depth of conditioning yet, but he has a lot of racing savey and might be more efficient in getting qualified for the Final. I expect him to be in 1:42-high shape or better but that might not be enough
I remember watching the Trials in LA 1984 where fourth was 1:44, a great time in that era.
That was probably the same day that Ruth Wysocki held off Mary Decker, the first time an American woman had beaten Mary in quite a while. Decker had stunned the Eastern Block by sweeping the 1500 and 3000m. Unfortunately Decker and Zola Budd went down in the 3000m; fourth place was taken by my son's Middle School nurse.
