Usually the wild cards are known a year in advance, so rare chance to 'go get one' after USA meet.
You also don't have to 'win a one-off DL race'.
You actually have to 1-qualify for DL final by being top 8 in points for entire DL season. Then 2- win the specific DL final race against world class field of DL final qualifiers.
Not an easy way to get a q for Worlds.
