Mondo? He’s been a prodigy since a young age and has had a realistic progression curve. Steroids can’t teach technique and his is off the charts. Also he has long jumper and pole vaulter parents, so the genetics are there to justify his talent. Not impossible for him to be doping but it’s more than likely he’s clean.
In a previous thread (IF any record is clean, which one?) I took this position. I have no reason to believe he’s doping, for the reasons you mentioned. He’s fast enough but not insanely fast, has the best technique ever, prodigy, great coaching, AND he does an event that has fewer participants so the record could arguably be “softer.”
