Butler sooo close!

The wind is a concern (especially with respect to an 800 WR shot) - but at least it’s in the right direction. If you are going to have wind on the track for anything above a lap, you want it to be down the back straight where you can really use it in that key 3rd 200.

Bol looked solid. The hurdle height is so low for the women’s 400s. It looks like a joke for any woman 5’6” +. I’m surprised more 50/2:00 types don’t try that event. Maybe my ignorance is showing.

Great run from Natalia B. Polish 400m women have been on fire for the last decade. Their 4x400 should be excellent this year.

I will say it again. I was in va Beach and I think if they were in the same heat butler would have won.

Armstrong is about to pop in and tell us how different the 800 is from the 400h, but yes I agree. However, most of the reason why we are now seeing such a drop in times in this event now is because those 50/2:00 are now actually taking the 400h seriously.

It's not insane to think that the USA B team this year could run somewhere in the high 3:16s.
