I thought the same thing! Marc and Marco are long lost brothers. Hearing Marco talk about his upbringing and the issues he had were eerily similar to Marc's. Both run/ran the best with a "chip" on their shoulder. Both are fantastic runners, but in some instances need(ed) to pull back a bit. Marc (aka the D.O.C.- a nick name he gave himself), has some pretty kickA$ credentials that Marco has yet to achieve. Marc D. won various national titles, including Footlocker, NCAA's, USA Champs, Oly Games Team, and World Champs Team both in X-C and Track. Will Marco L. duplicate Marc D.? Who knows, but he does burn hot with emotion, which is great, just so long as he keeps it in check. I thought the Cork Mile was a bit much, not crazy overboard, but a bit too flashy for an international rookie. He definitely left a 3:51-3:52 time out on the track had he finished strong and not paraded down the last 100m. Nonetheless, a win is win, and he certainly has gas left in the tank after a long collegiate season. If he stays fit, he will make some noise at USA's next month. I'm not sure he can last through the rounds, if he does, he will have a tough time in the Final where a low 3:30 will be needed to make the team. I'm a fan and am pulling for him.
Why are you a fan of a kid? I suspected you are not a grown man. So you’re a kid too?
You don’t read English? I asked the poster why he is a fan of a kid, unless he himself is a kid.
You for real? He is 20.
Do only college age (or younger fans) watch NCAA football or other sports?
Watching is one thing. Being a fan is quite an other. If you are a grown man and you are a fan of a 20 year old, ask yourself what went wrong in your life.
Didn’t Jakob basically do this in a world 5k final? Idk why people are so sensitive about this. If someone blows my doors off in a race, they’ve absolutely earned the right to celebrate imo. Cole Hocker could take on a HS dual meet and celebrate down the final stretch and I’d say if the HS kids don’t want him to celebrate then it’s on them to beat him.

It’s such a moronic question. Casually saying you’re a fan of a runner just means you’re rooting for their success. There’s nothing wrong with someone of any age saying they’re rooting for a 20 year old runner’s success.
I guarantee there are thousands of “Cooper Flagg fans” of all ages. Accusing someone of being weird for saying they’re a fan of a 20 year old runner who’s placing 3rd at NCAAs and racing against pro fields just plays into track & field being amateur hour.

I think you are a follower and I am a leader. This is a line of demarcation which will render us incapable of understanding each other. You are a fan of kids. I cannot relate to this, but it is OK if that is a meaningful pastime of yours.
I attempted to upvote this post from page one. I accidentally hit downvote, and it wouldn’t let me change it. Sorry. He ran a 3:54.60i (.01 slower) back in January for a presumably celebrationless win. And then in March ran a 2nd place 3:33.38 1500 meters at Raleigh. If you accept multiplying that by 1.08 as a 1500 to one mile conversion, it equates to a 3:50.46 mile.

I have zero respect for adults unrelated to him who are "Cooper Flagg fans," they're straight up pathetic.

Wtf are you talking about?
WTF are you talking about? I don't see the word "kid" in my post. I don't see Marco's age either. If you can, read the post, comprehend the post, and if your capable, respond logically with some insight. Not difficult.

Previous post was a response to "Yxerr", not Thrasher.
Kid has heart man, don't listen to the spiritual boomers. The stumble was goofy, but I'm looking forward to somebody like him making your favorite runners sit at home during worlds in the coming years.
I am a total fan.
Diadora shoes will get a try from me because they signed him
