I meant 100, 200, 400
A few years ago Mia Cochran of Moon Area HS now Arkansas/Washington won the 800,1600,3200m. More historically LeRoy Burrell 100,200m LJ and TJ Penn Wood HS Landsdown,PA.
Correct not true Ayden and NA did not win the State.
UTEP in the early 80s only had a few runners score to win the title all distance runners.
Florida men’s 2019 indoor title was won with 10 men. That includes relays and non-scoring individuals.
That was the year Grant Holloway won both the 60m and 60mH, placed 3rd in the LJ, and ran a leg on their 3rd place 4x400.

See title. Curious if anyone knows the fewest number of athletes it has taken to win a D1 NCAA track team title. If you had a couple of superstars do well in multiple events I could see it being possible to win it all with as few as 3-4 athletes but curious if that has happened.
As I recall, Washington State won the NCAA title (in the late 1960's) with 40 points by two athletes. Gerry Lindgren won the 5K & 10K and Jon van Reenan won the shot put and discus. They were probably the smallest and biggest athletes at the meet.

Love these type of stories. I remember a 15 years ago or so ago a girl winning the PA State meet by herself. Thought that was totally badass.
In 1961 Pete Duranko of Johnstown Catholic won, three events, and the Pennsylvania State Catholic championship by himself. He went on to be an All American defensive lineman twice at Notre Dame and played seven years in the NFL for Denver.
In the NCAA I believe there was a year Arkansas won the outdoor championship with six guys. That's the smallest number I know of.
For everyone spouting off crazy and wrong point totals and champs:
